If I could have given zero stars, then I would give zero stars to the Planet Fitness in Conyers, Georgia. I was a member at that location for one year. I was also a member of the PF in Florida where I just exercise and left when I felt like, however my situation has changed in Georgia and I became homeless after constant harassments and losing five nurse jobs here within two years. I was grateful that I found a place to be able to maintain my hygiene as well as getting a good exercise in to reduce stress. However, I felt as if I was judged and disrespected based on my situation. I do not make complaints on a business for no reason however the management and staff at this Planet Fitness were a disappointment on a reported situation. A male staff walked in on me in the Ladies locker room while I was naked in the shower, He saw that I saw him. I was waiting for him to exit because I am naked in the shower. He decided to ignore me, despite me trying to get his attention to asked him to step out for a few, until I am fully dressed. I had a meeting with the person who identified himself as the district manager whom had one reaction in person, as if he agreed with me and another over the phone. The male staff was unapologetic, arrogant, disrespectful, dismissive, and did not care that his thoughtless actions caused a paying female member to feel embarrassed, degraded, disregarded, and angry. In return, Planet Fitness opted to cover their actions by calling the police on me, lied to the police and said they ask me to leave, no prior conversations were had before the arrival of the police nor did I do anything or caused any disturbances for the police to be called. I went to the gym the night of 6/5th asked for a 20 min massage, changed into my gym clothes, proceeded to rest my feet before my exercise routine, as they were swollen and painful from doing an unusually excessive amounts of walking. I also mentioned to the district manager in an earlier meeting that I may have to rest my feet sometimes I am now having issues with transportation. I do not live at the gym. I understand it is a business. I exercise, shower, and leave. I may request a chair massage most times. My belongings from the locker were placed in a trash bag and I was thrown out of the gym in the middle of the night like trash. I have never disrespected any staff nor a member. I hardly speak. I exercise and mind my business. Yet, there are other members walking around performing sniff tests as if they are expecting me to be odorous because of being homeless or whatever stupid judgements they may be insinuating. I may be homeless but stupid, I am not. I am also a black female. I have had other concerns that I brought to the attention of the manager about the staff not properly cleaning the toilets. Whenever there is an issue there are more Caucasian staff coverage and then they are not seeing again. Now, Planet Fitness is getting a remodel, so I am thinking I was used because of my situation, blamed for things I had nothing to do with and now they have their remodel. While waiting for the district manager to do his so called investigation, my gym membership was cancelled by Planet Fitness. After the situation, I would be sitting at a business close by that location and multiple male would utter in passing " man, nobody don't want that hoe, or nobody don't want her". As if they were trying to convey a message. So, it may or may not apply to me. I don't concerns myself with nonsense but based on how I was treated at the gym and the cover up, that attitude by the staff or other members would not be so far-fetched. That is how Planet Fitness treat a black female paying member who was also a black card member. Repulsively...

I am not the type that comes to the gym to wast time or exchange words with anybody, but this is my second encounter with this same girl. I was treated with rudeness today. The least she could have done was to tell me she will allow my son to sit just today since I already drove to the gym, but next time only black card holders can do that. I was have been in the business of customer services for years, when you customers are happy, your business grow better.
II have been a member for about two years, this morning I came with my 13 yrs old son, I was told he can't be a guest and he can't even sit in the lobby while I workout. I decided to downgrade my husband black card membership because he does not use, I was told again by the rude staff that my husband has to here to cancel. I told her I signed him for the gym and the bills for all our three accounts comes out from my banking account every month. I am the primary card holder. This little girl that my son is older than was still rude and said the manager will be here in 30-40 min. I called corporate to ask question about my son 13 yrs old sitting in the lobby while I workout and also about my downgrading my husband's black card. I have was on hold for about 20 minutes waiting for customer service š³š”š”. I will not recommend anybody in the future to this planet fitness, this is not my first encounter with the same rude girl. After speaking with someone on the phone, I was told I should be able to down grade my husband account if I am the primary card account holder. I end up leaving the gym this morning without working out and my day ruined by a rude receptionist. These are some of the reason we can't do anything with black people. I am not able to talk to the manager because she said she no longer-know when the manager will be coming to walk todayš³š³. Their customer service at the covington facility is awesome they are much more friendlier than the Conyers . Now that the conyers office is open I realize the difference in the customer service. There is a hispanic representative, who doesn't speak I have had a problem with his customer service skills before when you walk in not very approachable today i ask to use the massage chair for 20 minutes he said I can only use 10 minutes increments the covington facility allowed me to use 20 minutes increments there is about 5 people here today because no one realizes it's open initially we're told the 4th of October he states I would have to get off and come back and ask for another 10 minutes and go up to the front desk I did not know which chair set me up I walked back up to the front he and a an African-American girl with short dreads was having a conversation about me and were very surprised to see me standing there immediately rhe conversation cease . I am considering the Covington facility because if I'm going to pay my money Money , I want the good customer service.whats is wrong with greeting your customer as they walk in the door .... and the manager who is the Caucasian lady that wears her hair up in a bun she looks at you as if she's annoyed because you're walking in the gym and comparing it to the Covington when you walk in there they greet you and when you leave they tell you have a good day when you are paying customer those kind of things matter when you go into the Conyers gym they giving you impression that they're doing you a favor they don't speak they don't greet nothing of the sort .... I live probably about 5 to 7 minutes from the Conyers facility but I'm almost sure Covington will be my predominate site when they renovated the Conyers facility they should've renovated their attitudes starting...
