Juicy Crawfish - Conyers — Restaurant in Conyers

Okay, so this place obviously spent over a million on renovations and decorations when they took over the restaurant. I guess they were hoping that once people came that they would just keep on coming because of the cool atmosphere. I'm not sure that's going to happen...

The biggest mistake that they've made is using robots to deliver food to the table. While it's kind of cool for kids, It's actually pretty awkward for the servers and for those being served, and it definitely doesn't fit the vibe. I have no idea what they were thinking. When you walk in it feels very old world and pirate vibes and design, which by the way I love! But then you see these cheesy robots delivering food to the table. It just does not fit or make sense.

As far as the bar goes I have to separate that service from my actual server. The only reason I gave the service four stars is because our server had an amazing attitude and adjusted where he needed to you after the bar completely destroyed a simple martini. I ordered a classic vodka martini with Tito's extra cold, extra dirty. This is a very simple drink. And when it arrived at my table it tasted like they had poured gasoline into a glass. It also had a really strange off brown color, at first I thought it might have been from the olives So I took a small sip, but then I realized immediately that something was really wrong. I spit it out, because whatever liquors they used had no business being a vodka martini. It was awful! If you're going to have an upscale bar, which they do, you better make sure that your bartenders know what the heck classic drinks are! Honestly the bartenders look like they I just had their 21st birthday last week.

The food: It was pretty good, at least what I got. Everything came out hot and it was pretty delicious. One of the other people at my table got a pasta and I was shocked to see that the noodles were either ramen, or spaghetti. I've never seen a Cajun pasta dish serve that way. It was very underwhelming and extremely greasy because all they did was pour the garlic butter sauce they use for steaming the seafood into the noodles instead of actually creating a sauce for pasta. It also came with no veggies which was really weird. So if you can't do pasta well, you might want to stay away from that too.

Overall, it was an extremely confusing experience. I'll probably go back one more time just to show my husband because he wasn't with me on this visit and it was such a pretty hilarious experience overall plus the food was pretty good. Hopefully they can redeem themselves and keep me coming back if they take the time to read this review. I really think they would have something if they could get the management and staff trained better.

FYI, I worked in restaurants for over 20 years and currently own one. Having knowledgeable and train staff will keep people coming back again and again as long as the food is good and the trinks are right as well.

I also don't want to pay a lot of money to be served by a robot. I want human interaction.

It would also be nice to have something fresh added to the menu. Like maybe a salad?

Another note, we went there at 6:00 p.m. on a Friday night and were there until about 8:00 p.m. the restaurant was virtually empty so that should tell you...

Been coming here for a few years, was good but now customer service seems to be hit or miss. Last few times here picking up food the people at the front seem to have an attitude or like they are miserable. Like Last time I went . I came in paid for my food, server goes to get it and when she brings the bag out, I go to reach for my food and as I'm reaching for the bag she attempts to move it out of my field of reach and put it on the counter even once I had my hand on the bag. She then makes this sly look like she just did something, which also told me it was intentional and not being socially unaware.Why not simply hand me my food , she literally saw me reaching for the bag, why not just hand someone something your already holding, that you literally see them reaching for.

Then the latest I call to place an order at 9:30 they answer the phone, then when I tell them I'm trying to make an order, she places me on hold and then gets back on the phone to tell me they aren't taking in any calls in orders anymore. Why even answer the phone and why not just say that.

I go in and try to place the order at 9:45. She tried to say "were closed" at 9:45 so it's 9:45 and I just walked in and you won't take my order, like you refused to take my order over the phone and now your acting petty by saying you can't take my order at 9:45 when the doors are open..then tried to tell they stop taking order at 9:45, so someone walks in at 9:45 and you won't take the order. I just asked for the manager and she was a saint who made the order without issue. A guy walked in right after me and I didn't hear the girl try and tell him that "were closed" mess. Let him look at the menu and rung his order right up, but wanted to basically refuse me service.

The other time I came the person at the front desk seemed to be just be in a off putting mood to the point I had to ask if they were okay.

The food here is what it is seafood cause its definitely salty these days. Manager seems to be good but that can't make up for 3 bad experiences from their employees and of course...

1/27/23 Update: Came for a gathering an was SO DISAPPOINTED! I understand that big parties sometimes things get confused but this was unexcusable.🤬 Nothing to crack the crab legs with. The lemonade in the special cup is non-refillable. Asking for sauces to eat with, fighting with the napkin holder, no one bringing take-out boxes, and withholding the bill, has made me reduce my score.

My friend ordered her own bag that she specifically ordered certain things. What she ordered was a pound of sausage, a pound of shrimp, 1 corn and 1 potato. What she received was barely a pound of shrimp, and sausage, 5 corns and 5 potatoes. When she asked for them to"fix" her order, they brought her a bowl for the extra corn and potatoes, and some seasoning since no one asked at the time of her order. 🤔 She inquired about what they were going to do with it, the young lady said that they were going to throw it away. WHAT? That's Crazy!!!! Why not just offer for her to keep it and make her order over CORRECTLY! 😡

She just returned the entire meal.😣😥 Which was disappointing since we were there to celebrate her. My food was over fried. The shrimp and chicken was a little too brown. This will be my LAST time here. I drove a very long way to come to be disappointed. The best part of this experience was Persia, our server. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!🤬🤬🤬

First time here. Located on HWY 138 in Conyers, Ga, next to a Del Taco. Plenty of parking and handicapped as well. Very clean. It was great. The food was delicious and hot. The drinks were good as well. The highlight was the robot delivering our food to the table. It was too cute. Only issue was that our appetizers came as the same time our food came and it took a while for it to come. (at least a 30 min wait)Nice atmosphere, good music selections, friendly staff. Good customer service. The prices aren't too high either. Would like to come back. Check out my pics and video...
