I wish I had taken a picture of the way my Reuben was handed to me. I asked for the sauerkraut on the side. They wrapped my sandwich up with a mound of sauerkraut on the outside of the bun. When I open it the bun was soggy. I asked for the sandwich to be put in a new bun. They hand me a bun, don't offer to remake it or put it on the bun for me. So I'm sitting here trying to transfer all of the inside of my sandwich to a new bun with my damn hands. They didn't put anything on my new bun. I threw the sandwich away. Never again with this place get my money. Save yourself the disappointment don't come here.
-- The following is my response to the Owners reply to my original review.
The owner or manager, whomever the red-haired man is at your store that delt with my issue watched me throw away my sandwich and made eye contact with me several times as I sat there with my husband while he ate his sandwich, his sandwich was good btw. I ended up going up to the counter and asking for a refund, the manager told me that I can't get my money back without the sandwich in hand..... keep in mind he WATCHED me throw away my sandwich, I told him that I would be more than happy to dig it out of the trash, the manager then proceeded to try to excuse the way things were handled by putting some blame on my husband in regards to how the sandwich was ordered.... REALLY?! The manager ended up refunding me and offering a free sub. Guess the situation has been taken...
Read moreI went there just today for the first time ever around 4pm and there was both good and bad.... First, the good: the service was AMAZING, a very sweet young man helped me pick out a sandwich with all the trimmings etc and told me the best combinations with such enthusiasm that it made me chuckle and the restaurant was super clean. The bad however, was later this evening when my stomach got crazy upset. I have been working all day and this was the only thing I ate today so I’m assuming it was the sandwich. I’m now glued to the bathroom toilet :(. My theory is that it was the bacon. It looked like the pre-cooked kind that’s preserved in God knows what from a 3rd party. I’ve heard of other people talking about upset stomachs and I have a funny feeling it was the bacon because everything else was super fresh looking. I might suggest switching suppliers or...
Read moreFirstly, I must mention I’m a recently diagnosed celiac- the auto immune disease not the fad of eating gluten free. I went in and explained to the nice man at the other side of the counter my disease and he immediately explained his entire process of what will occur. The entire bar was wiped clean, all people handling food changed gloves and they were extremely precautionary. It was astounding! I am so excited that there is a place locally where I can eat like a normal person and not worry about getting sick. The young men working there were all so generous and kind. The sandwich was delicious (still not the same since it is gluten free bread) but I love the meats and condiments at Jersey Mikes. And thank you for educating your employees and providing this service to those of us who are dealing with this disease in a gluten...
