First things first - love the interior design. It's clean and has a more "modern/minimal/Nashville" vibe than most places in town. The bar is gorgeous & once it's full of colorful liquor bottles it'll be so pretty. The "ivy" wall is absolutely so pretty & a definite unique look here in Cookeville. The booths are clean & give you a private dining experience. The patio is large and has a lot of seating! Our server was so great! He was friendly and checked in on us the perfect amount! Pizza. Pizza is delicious! We got the pesto pizza and added pepperoni & sausage. The crust was beyond fresh and had the perfect chew. The meat was quality for sure. The pesto had that nice dark green oil factor and tasted expensive. Loved the fresh mozz on it as well. My one and ONLY wish for the pizza would be for the toppings & sauce to be a bit closer to the edge. The crust is amazing but a bit more of the pizza flavors would put it over the edge of awesome! But really, I'd honestly say it's one of the best pizzas in town! The Philly cheese steak. While the beef and onions & pepper were cooked nicely, the bread wasn't quite sturdy enough, and needed some moisture like a yummy aioli. I thought it had cheese wiz (the menu said so?) but didn't see it on there. So it was missing that factor but the provolone was great. The side we picked were the Brussels, and they were perfectly crispy. Also the Balsamic reduction on them was appreciated. The spinach artichoke dip was full of artichokes and spinach. The cream cheese factor was DELISH & basically was only lacking salt. The buffalo wings had great flavor & the ranch was a perfect thin ranch. I'd only say the cook on the wings could have been a little longer for a better crisp on the skin. Last thing was the kiddo's order. She loved having the option of the wild rice (she devoured it!) But only wished the Chicken Nuggets could've been tenders or cut up pieces of tenders instead of *winces & I'm so sorry for saying this* frozen nuggs. Overall we loved our time there. There for sure are some things we are excited and anxious about - wine & cocktails & more beer options! We are excited for football season with the garage doors open & a packed house & patio. We'll be back countless times for sure! Thanks for branching out & bringing this spot to town!

Can't figure out why it's always a ghost town in there on a Saturday afternoon, but there's also only ever the one guy working the front. We don't go very often but have seen this to be the case so we know service may be a little slow, he was running food when we arrived so it was a good couple minutes before we were greeted but we don't get fussy about that. He always does a good job flying solo and we're never in a rush there. I really love their Nashville hot chicken sandwich. It's huge and flavorful, sometimes it's fire and other times a bit more mild but I always enjoy when I pick it. Hubs tried the Cuban and it was also great! He likes their burgers and regular chicken sandwich as well. And their pizza is really good too. Hadn't had it in a long time and decided to share that instead of an app, got the 4 cheese kind and it was delicious. Ensured we had a whole extra meal with all that food! Just wish they'd rotate their beer offerings. We like IPAs and they only ever have one and it's not one we care for.

My first bad meal in Cookeville after waiting 45 minutes! I ordered the Buffalo mac & cheese and expected chicken breast or chicken tenders chopped up on top. I found it to be chicken thighs. When I asked my server about it, she was not able to explain why. I spoke to the chef and asked for a side of chicken breast, but when it came out, it was a chicken thigh. I asked for a Manager but none were working today. Another employee came out and was able to explain to me that they do NOT have chicken breast. All the chicken served at this restaurant is chicken thighs. I believe it should be disclosed on the menu. Also training the staff and chefs the difference between chicken thighs and chicken breast. When you work at a restaurant, you should know the cut of meat you’re serving. I would’ve ordered a cheeseburger if I had known.

My fiance and I tried Midtown Social for the first time tonight. It will most likely be the only time. In a town with as many choices as Cookeville, I can't imagine the owners being content with mediocrity. The restaurant itself (structure) is great. I thought the atmosphere had huge potential. That's the highlight of our visit. We were seated. Our waitress seemed very uninterested in us. We ordered an appetizer, it was nice enough. I was trying to decide between the black and bleu burger or the Buffalo chicken sandwich. Our waitress suggested the Buffalo chicken. To which I replied perfect I'll go with that. Our drinks were empty when our food arrived. Again, not necessarily the end of the world. It would have been more understandable if they were busy. But at most there were 12 tables occupied and 3 couples at the bar. They also didn't appear to be short staffed. We saw multiple servers while we were there. Now, about the food. After suggesting the buffalo chicken, you can imagine my surprise when what I received was Nashville hot chicken. I know that may not sound like a big deal, spicy chicken vs spicy chicken. Nashville hot and buffalo are two very different dishes. I've never sent food back at a restaurant because I didn't like it. There is a first time for everything. Our waitress again, not very interested. She simply asked if I wanted something else? I declined. My boyfriends hamburger was underseasoned while his fries were very salty. I prefer to patronize independent establishments over chains. If a manager had been circulating the dining area, this review wouldn't have...

Wow, we usually always go to the same place for date night but I had been wanting to try Midtown’s vibe & menu as everyone I hear is always raving about the food & staff, both were absolutely fantastic last night 4-29-25. Our server Hailey was so knowledgeable about everything on the menu & helped us get exactly what we had a taste for. The food was beyond delicious, I literally just started eating Spinach & Artichoke Dip, I think they have a wonderfully delicious (large) portion for an appetizer, definitely enough for 2. We both had Chicken Salads, my husband had fried & I had grilled with fresh mozzarella, it was so delicious. The Spring mix was so tasty that I actually wanted more of that, it was so fresh & tasty. I usually have a fruity cocktail but wanted to try something different & went with the Midtown’s own specialty Spiced Moscow Mule, a huge thanks again to Hailey, our server, as she was who helped me decide on what drink to try. It was delicious & refreshing. I am very impressed with all the renovations & beautiful new interior as well as the outdoor seating area. I think we have a new date night spot for a while, gotta work out way thru that menu, looking forward to it again soon!! Thanks to everyone at Midtown Social for a...
