I don’t typically review places especially when it is a negative view. But I was truly disappointed with the service at this Starbucks. My mom, two young sons, and I were traveling and already having a very hard time as my three year old was getting sick. We had already stopped before and decided we really needed a Starbucks after all the turmoil of helping a sick little guy while both exhausted and traveling (not to mention I am 31 weeks pregnant!!). I took my son to the bathroom, and as soon as we got inside, he threw up on the floor. My mom was in the car with my older son, so I called her. Meanwhile I went to summon the barista with a frantic expression. I was met with a look of confusion and discomfort like she couldn’t understand why I wanted her to come over. I guess I could scream across the restaurant that my kid barfed all over their floor, but I was trying to be discreet. I told her the situation and that I needed a rag to clean up the vomit that they would be okay with me throwing out. Evidently this was too much for her to handle as she went to seek someone else. After a long time of waiting as my child was still hovering over the toilet and my mom had come in and grabbed napkins because it was clear no one was going to help us, another barista walked over, saw the vomit, and began declaring disgustedly, “I can’t do it. Nope I can’t do it!” And walked away without so much as handing us a towel or anything to help! My mom (bless her) leaned down and cleaned up the vomit with the Starbucks napkins she grabbed on the way in. My son finally finished up, and I cleaned him up. No one ever offered a helping hand or even a RAG like I requested. I could have done like other people and just left the vomit on the floor for them to handle, but I would not feel right about that. I finally walked out with my boys while my mom ordered some drinks (I almost didn’t even feel like giving them money, but as I said, we were pretty desperate), but honestly that was some of the worst customer service I have experienced. I was appalled at the looks, words, and lack of help. Hopefully none of those baristas will ever have to experience being third trimester pregnant and handling a sick 3 year old while being ignored and unassisted by even a simple rag. To be honest, I’m not even sure they ever went in and cleaned that bathroom when we left. My mom didn’t notice them cleaning it while waiting for a super long time for our drinks, so hopefully they eventually did. Just very disappointed. I don’t like to write bad reviews, but this experience really...
Read moreJust left this location. Visiting here for a new baby- no sleep- we needed coffee! 3 customers sitting w drinks and 5 baristas (that I saw) and maybe 3 cars in drivethru. I was only one waiting to order -stood at counter 10 mins without even an acknowledgement- then left- wout an acknowledgement. On heavy traffic days you expect a wait but not when you are the only one in line and no one waiting to pick up. Yest I came thru this drivethru and ordered a plain iced green tea. The barista overcharged me by almost $1.00. When I asked about it she went thru a huge spill about how the company changes prices on them without telling them and she was sorry it just popped up that way..... we’ll yeah, if you KEY the wrong price in it will ring up that way! It’s not the company’s fault. It’s not my nature to leave negative reviews, but just to be clear, I go to Starbucks in my area every day and sometimes twice a day bf/after my shift. If I order something there it should be same price here, right? I had just drank a tea from Hermitage Starbucks on the way here so I know how much it cost. I even called there and asked bc of the response I got. I’m not complaining about $1. The turnover in this store is a lot. Every time I come they seem stressed. High volume stores Need a team to keep up. They need to work on customer service skills. If Starbucks is ever looking for a training store, they need to use the store on Andrew Jackson Blvd in Hermitage, TN. They are great with customers and in turn we all repay that. Meghan from this store is a stable and actually came from Hermitage store, such a diff when she’s working. Again, I wouldn’t have left something negative unless it’s been a repeated pattern that needs addressing. I’ll be back for sure tho. Hopefully issues addressed. Cookeville is a great town and this location is perfect for a quick...
Read moreI'm going to start by saying I don't drink coffee, so take my review with a grain of salt. The place is clean, organized, and inviting. There is a lot of seating, which makes it a little difficult to maneuver, but isn't a negative. The staff was friendly, but it was my first and last time going, so I don't know if they're always that friendly. I ordered the largest possible hazelnut frappuccino, with whip cream. Apparently you also have to ask for coffee in it, which was weird to me. Yes, I want coffee in my coffee? But there are people who drink these for aesthetics and such, so I understand the need for clarification. I also ordered the peach white tea infused lemonade, smallest version of that. I was not overly fond of the sweet tea-peach-lemonade concoction, but it wasn't terrible. My main problem was with the coffee I had ordered for my significant other. Or, the lack of coffee within the frappuccino. Also, the presence of mocha when the word "mocha" never left my mouth. There was no hazelnut. It was just mocha with a shot of coffee mixed with ice and topped with whip cream. Maybe I just don't know what a frappuccino is supposed to be, all I know is we won't be going back - at least for...
