I have Never been so embarrassed in my life. My husband and I went to eat and were regulars. We go 3-4 times a week. The last 5 times that we have went. There have been problems such as our steaks not being cooked right At all, with blood coming out. When I have to have well done, due to health reasons. The last 3 times we have went. Our food has not came out together. We do not even get to eat together with waiting 15 to 20 minutes before one or the other gets their food. Friday night we went. My husband ordered an appetizer combo and I ordered a well done Steak. Steak came out and his food did not considering it was an appetizer combo. You would think it would have been out sooner. But we waited almost another 15 to 20 minutes before his food was brought out. We asked the server and the manager about it and was told it would be right out. Still waited. My husband then asked to speak to the manager. The manager comes out. And tells us that it's not his problem. It's not his fault. He has nothing to do with the kitchen and that It's not his problem to fix their mess ups. My husband asks how he's going to fix this situation. Considering my food is now cold and we should be able to eat together being regulars. And he chose to say there was nothing he was going to do to fix the problem. I told him just to get us some to go boxes. And we would leave and he started getting very irate with my husband needless to say, my husband also was very upset. After I asked my husband just to calm down that we would leave. My husband's turns to me and begins talking to me. The manager then turns around and asks us to leave and never come back. It does not make any sense how we can be kicked out of a restaurant because of their inability to do their job or fix their mess ups. They tell you to talk to a manager while you are there to fix any problems you may have. But, if they don't agree with you or just don't want to fix the problem they will just kick you out. I have lived in cookeville my whole life and have never been kicked out of anywhere or had any problems talking to a manager when there is a problem. But, for them to act this way with regular customers blows my mind. I have contacted corporate and reported the problem but even they told me that the owner does not call or respond to customers complaints so that tells me they know there is a problem and just don't care to fix it. I am personally taking offense to this and will do whatever is necessary to fix this. I have never seen so many people say the same thing about a restaurant on reviews and no changes being made. Clearly something...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTexas Roadhouse is probably the most consistently good chain restaurant in town. It takes so many people working behind the scenes to get you the food you want. People line up well in advance of opening just to make sure they get a seat. It is rare to find this place not packed. The To Go area is well-staffed. I wish I knew all their names but the college age To Go girl with a long ponytail and glasses is my pet's favorite. Like many of these kinds of restaurants, tips are pooled. To Go, however, is separate from that. You may not realize it but the To Go workers do everything except cook your food. They pack it up in all those containers, they fill your drinks and even hand scoop each little container for butter for everyone's favorite rolls. And yet, I've discovered they're rarely tipped, and certainly not to the extent of the wait staff inside the restaurant even though they're doing just as much work. Remember to always double check your order. They will ask you to check it because they want to make sure you leave with what you paid for. And remember to text the number on the sign when you park in the To Go pickup area. They have no way of knowing where you are parked, or even if you have arrived, if you don't text the number on the sign. You will get a text telling you when your order is ready. Milling about the tiny To Go area won't make it cook faster. My personal favorite at Texas Roadhouse is the fried pickles. And yes, you can buy several dozen rolls for an event but I suggest you put that order in early. If the restaurant is slammed it will take a little longer to bake a large amount for you. But...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI chose to go here to celebrate my birthday. We drove an hour to get here. We looked forward to supporting a locally owned place. We waited an hour for a table. Our waiter was awesome! He was kind, polite, and got our drinks and rolls out quickly. We ordered ribeyes and one ordered a burger. Everyone ordered medium well. When our meals arrived, we were shocked! The steaks had black burned marks all over the outside and smelled burnt. Hoping the burnt taste wasn't into the meat, we tried a piece. It was very burnt tasting! The burger was black on the outside and very pink inside and was so dry. š The whole table was just beyond frustrated! We explained to the waiter who had to talk to the manager. The waiter then came back to say because we ordered steak, we'd be required to pay for it!! I asked for the manger to come tell me that! The manager came with a ticket already printed. He said I've totaled up the appetizer and your drinks and I've removed the meals. Then he grabbed them to take away as if we were gonna eat it or something. So we spent almost 3 hours and $20 for an onion and drinks and still had to find something for everyone to eat!! 𫤠I was so disappointed and so was the rest of my party! Clean your grill!! No matter how busy you get, you HAVE TO take time to clean the grill! You should always put fresh meat down on a clean grill! Customers pay good money for good food! By this time, it was getting late. We popped across the street and tried Raising Canes for the first time. It...
