CR's Sports Bar & Carbone's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Coon Rapids

We think the quality of pizza is great. This review is simply based on the so called “manager” of the pizza area. I called and ordered 2 large pizzas for delivery. A few minutes later they called us back and said they didn’t have a delivery driver. No big deal, we were totally ok with picking up. They had to void my order and re-ring it with out the delivery charge. When they re-rang my order they put in the wrong size pizza. I sent my husband to pick up and he didn’t know what i ordered. I needed 2 larges since we had 4 kids wanting the cheese pizza fries things. They gave us a small pizza fry. I called because i was willing to drive all the way back to get a large pizza fry that we ordered or another small. A small is $7.50, a large is $9. He wanted to charge me an additional $7.50 for me to drive back up there on there mess up when i was only planning on spending $9 on 1 large to begin with.

So they re-rang my pizza wrong, sent me the wrong size pizza and then i have to go back up there to spend ankther $7.50 to get an additional small pizza fry to equal a large when … if they would of gotten my order right i would of only spent $9. He couldn’t articulate the principles of what i was saying and just blamed on bad communication and that i should of communicated to my spouse prior to his pick up. I figured they would give him what i ordered I didn’t need to give him a checklist. Needless to say i ended up not going up there to spend an additional $7.50 on another small to equal the large. And spend the time/gas on top of that . I thought he could of charged me the difference to get a large would of been reasonable. He just kept saying i got what i paid for and didn’t try to do the right thing to help the customer out and provide some service. Although I didn’t get what i ordered…(That is the issue here!) I was planning to spend $9 on a large pizza fry but instead he wanted to charge me another $7.50 for me to come back up there to get enough food for my family. Won’t order...

The pizza here is quite delicious, I recommend the deep dish. The bar and billiards side of this 'business' is a completely different animal however. I've been coming here for drinks and pool off and on for quite a few years, and it's been an alright experience. Lastnight they lost me as a customer, and most likely the patronage of some long time customers that I was with as well. I started off with a couple tap beers, it's happy hour after all, and 2 for 1's sounded like a good beginning. They charged me full price for them it turns out though, pretty lame, but I can accept that sitting down and chalk it up to a blooper. What they charged for my next two cocktails, I will not. 18 dollar charges per cocktail after that, and we are not talking a fine Macallan or storied Glenlivet,which I would happily spend more than that on, oh no, these were a clumsy parody of a long island, using only the cheapest ingredients from the rail, and little care. Absolutely ridiculous. Dress down very much for this place. If they see anything shiny on your wrist or around your neck, you get charged El Presidente prices for your trouble. Overall, good food, pricey Mocktails, and a complete den of scum and villainy behind the bar and working for it. If you like watery drinks and spending 100 bucks on 30 dollars worth of content, while sitting at a dirty table in a crummy bar with no atmosphere, boy, have I got the...

No refills, which is strange for a bar. They brought out our food at separate times. Took over 45 minutes to get the burger I ordered and it wasn't even busy. Waitress seemed irritated and like she didn't know what was going on.. I physically watched the pull tab vendor guy pull a box because it was hot and put away all the tickets in a separate box as if he was gonna buy it after shift. I watched him physically count all the cash and the tickets to see if it was worth pulling. That is ILLEGAL. I wasn't even playing tabs just observing. Atmosphere was actually good and the burger overall I was shocked by how tasty it was. cleanliness it was good. I've heard great things about This place and overall extremely dissapointed.Still only giving it 2 stars because of the service. Also there is a lot of descripencys in your bill that is not told about. Like fries don't come with a burger and it's a $2.25 up charge.. also adding olives on two tacos is an additional dollar.. just seemed a little off. Will give another chance but very poorly...
