Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Copperas Cove

Sadly, I don't think we'll be coming back here after this part experience. Not only was it not busy on a Saturday night, but our waiter sat us at a small table both with a broken seat while taking 10 mins to give us any drink, to which we ordered some shopping with water right when we were sitted. Lucky we didnt sit under any ac vents because it was very cold inside and the bar was extremely loud, which was the only real area with customers. Been coming here since April 5th 2016 when my now husband took me on our first date, so this place always had a sweet spot for us. So we've been coming almost every year minus after covid so a little inconsistent but with 2 entrées wth appetizer for 25 we thought, let's have a date night..... I ordered chicken oriental and my husband ordered his favorite pasta dish, honey pepper Mac.... His pasta was so sad I felt bad that he kept eating it for hours expensive it is, sauce was very thin and watery barely any flavor which is insane since this is something he use to order when he worked here over 12 years ago... So he's been ordering this plate for a long time so when he got his dinner we almost left. My salad was extremely sweet, way too sweet for a Asian chicken salad, I thought it was going to be more flavored along the lines of their very good Asian chicken tacos (which were good, and the boneless wings were as well). The picture that shows both our entrées display lots of chicken and my husband got 3 baby chicken tenders and mine was maybe at most that amount.... Lots of salad with berry little protein.... Mind you the server eddie kept forgetting everything we ordered while it wasn't busy...waiting for napkins is always nice when you only ever got the one that came with your silverware. Then the music was very odd, liked the songs but not for Applebee's lol disturbed? I mean I know it's a bar but I couldn't contain myself. 2 entrées.... 2 appetizers and 2 drinks..... Mind you it's after 9 so the appetizers are half price........ 80 before tip.... So we could have gone to Machi sushi... Gotten more food,better food..... better service and spent under 80 dollars...... So yeah we'll never come back here unless we are getting boneless wings or their Asian chicken tacos and with how expensive they both are even with half off, most likely never coming back. I think I'll go to chili's over Applebee's,...

The service fell off the grid because they were two employees short for the night shift. The appetizers arrived after the main course was served. One of the appetizers was soggy and therefore was sent back to the kitchen. The other appetizer was the spinach and artichoke dip with chips. This was also a disaster because, the chips where not fresh. In fact, they where really oily and hard as if they had been refried. The dip was salty so, we just didn't eat it. The ribs didn't have very much sauce which they did need. One fork on the table had a gash in the metal so we had to request a replacement. The waitress brought the bill still with the returned appetizers and after she returned with the corrected bill we saw that it was not less but instead, it was exactly $20.00 more!! I spoke with the MOD and she corrected it and apologized in addition to comping 1/2 of the bill. This 🍎bees is normally better than this last experience and I will dine with them again because I hope they will correct the issues and find a way to better train their staff to handle their workload when they are short staffed. I stopped in at this location again today, 33 November 2022. The waitress was very polite but, she spoke so loud that it was off putting. When we asked about the cost of the margaritas, it would have been nice to have a discreet response from her but, instead she spoke so loud that it was like listening to a sports broadcasting... Not good. Now tonight, me and my friend both ordered the steak sizzling plate dish and requested the steaks be cooked to medium-well but, the steaks both came to the table very red inside and bleeding! We sent them back two (2) times. NOT GOOD! One steak came back well done and the other took much longer to get back. The mash potatoes where much less provided on the plate than what is reflected in the commercial and when I Sked about it, I was told I would have to pay more to get what was shown on the plate in the TV...

Service was an attentive & non-intrusive experience. The APPLEBEE'S service men & woman were gleeful in their duties. Everyone was greeted as a long lost friend, as they entered the restaurant. We were seated immediately in high chairs that over looked the bar. Unfortunately that's all the positives. The meal was ultimately not very well prepared or tasted good. The microwave experience is how I would describe it. Also the portions were not consistent upon the plate. It saddens me to write this especially after such a tremendous greeting & atmosphere. I would go back, but next time I'll choose another location.

After sometime had passed & my initial review, I returned to this location. Heres an update to my previous review. Pleased to post that the food was great! Portions were consistent on the plate. Although our appetizers didn't arrive before our main course. Once our main course arrived , we informed our waitress we never received our appetizers. Once we had started enjoying our meal the appetizers did arrive. They were placed amongst our main course overwhelming our table; it was a small booth that seats 2. So not alot of area to place a Classic Combo platter. At 1st I felt how will I navigate it all & hoping I don't knock anything off the table? But after a few adjustments it was great. It was like a smorgasbord of food! I really enjoyed it. Might try to recreate that experience again. Also the staff were kind & only charged half for the late appetizers. Even with the minor hiccup I say the service has improved & the food was delicious. Can't...
