My visit to Sucre was unfortunately marred by an experience that left much to be desired in terms of customer service and flexibility. After eagerly anticipating my meal based on numerous positive reviews, the reality of the situation fell drastically short of expectations.
Upon arrival, the ambiance of the restaurant promised a delightful dining experience. However, the moment of truth arrived with the delivery of our orders. An incorrect item was served to me, a simple mistake, yet it was the restaurant's response to this error that truly dampened the evening. When I politely pointed out the mix-up, hoping for a quick resolution, I was met with an unexpected and unwarranted resistance
Requesting merely to have the correct item brought out, I was told, much to my astonishment, that it would not be possible to make the switch. No explanation was provided, nor any attempt at a compromise. The refusal to correct a straightforward error displayed a glaring disregard for customer satisfaction and service.
This experience was not only about the inconvenience of receiving an incorrect order but more so about the principle of customer care and service recovery. Mistakes happen, and they are understandable, but the unwillingness to address and amend them is unacceptable. It was disheartening to see a business choose to stand firm on an error at the expense of customer satisfaction.
The rest of the meal passed without incident, but the initial interaction cast a shadow over the entire dining experience. It is a basic expectation that a restaurant acknowledges its mistakes and strives to rectify them, ensuring customers leave happy and satisfied. Unfortunately, Sucre failed to meet these fundamental standards of hospitality and customer service.
To future patrons, I advise caution and lowered expectations should you choose to dine here. It seems that when faced with challenges, the establishment's priority is not the diner's satisfaction. In a world where dining options are plentiful, it might be worthwhile to seek out establishments that value their customers and understand the importance of rectifying mistakes...

We ordered 5 times on the menu and all 5 items were absolutely incredible.
Peach Parfait This peach parfait was made with very high quality yogurt. It was very sweet but also light at the same time. Only $4.99 for this item and it was an entire bowl of food. Very good. City Hall Club This City Hall Club was a turkey club sandwich with avocado inside and also this delicious garlic Mayo. It also came with bacon. The bread was perfectly toasted giving a nice crunch to each bite. The turkey, avocado, and garlic Mayo gave the sandwich a nice juicy and soft texture. The sandwich was AMAZING. Prosciutto Truffle Huevos Rotos This meal was also delicious. Eggs, prosciutto. Truffle oil, all on a bed of potato chips. THEY ARE NOT CHEAP ON TRUFFLE

What really stands apart though is the absolute embarrassment of staff. I order a salad and a turkey sandwich. I get a tuna sandwich. I go “hey I ordered a turkey” and she goes “i read you back your order, you’ll have to pay for turkey.” The problem is this woman is yelling at people from the moment you walk in (excessive hellos and ordering instructions) to the moment you walk out (excessive goodbyes and please come backs) with an abrasive trebly voice that only a mother could love and an ex husband (or two) obviously loathes. Well I must have tuna’d (tuned) her out and missed the tuna callback. I don’t eat tuna (save the dolphins) and I know for a fact I didn’t order tuna. My advice to counter girl is same as grandpas advice for me many years ago: shut your mouth and open your ears. (Or, you have two ears and one mouth, use accordingly).
The owner I think has some type of unease around people and he thinks he’s a celebrity chef, which explains ridiculous high prices.
Ive made the mistake of returning here time and again (last time they told my 4 year old niece she could not sit in the chairs because we hadn’t ordered yet, and we walked out) because my old man likes the place, but this is the dead last time. Chef Sucks Cafe for the overpriced food spot...
