This little hidden gem is my favorite place to eat from throughout the week. Since I first ordered through Uber Eats, I’ve been hooked and either go pick up since it’s so close to my house or order delivery. Every single thing I’ve tried is delicious and I love that what they don’t make in house is still made by other local vendors and they have a great variety of healthy options. I’m obsessed with their iced chai tea latte, it’s a great size and the taste is literally the best I’ve had and I’ve tried many! Their açaí bowls are also a top choice. I regularly get the chia pudding and passion fruit with granola yogurt which I like giving to my daughter for breakfast. The plantain arepa with chicken, cheese and avocado is yummy as well. The italianissimo sandwich is awesome, love the combination of prosciutto, truffle oil and figs. The ham & cheese croissant is always super tasty, flaky & fresh. The brownies, banana bread, cupcakes, marquesas, all delicious, but my all time favorite sweet to get there is the arroz con leche. Every time I go I take all the ones they have left and like I said before, I go several times a week. The portion is decent but I love it so much I usually eat 2 in one sitting. The tuna toast is really good too and although I’m not much of a coffee drinker, I’m dying to try the affogatos. Knowing how good everything else is, I’m sure the combination of espresso and ice cream is going to be amazing there regardless of which flavor affogato I order. I usually find parking on the street fairly easy but there’s also a garage you can park for free at with the code the restaurant gives you. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. Do yourself a favor and try Grou! You will be hooked just as I am, you can...

Read moreI really liked the coffee at this place and I used to go frequently, but my last experience was very disappointing.
In December, I placed a delivery order through Toast, but it never arrived. I tried contacting Toast without success, and in the end, I had to call them directly. I spoke with the manager, who acknowledged that the issue was with the delivery service but told me they would offer me a free coffee next time I visited.
A month later, after returning from a trip, I went back and spoke to the manager again. He asked me to show my bank statement in person to prove the charge, and they assured me they would look into it and issue a void to refund the money of the coffee I just bought. However, I never received the refund.
It’s not about the cost of a coffee, but rather the lack of commitment and poor customer service. When a business fails to resolve an issue after multiple chances, it gives the impression that they simply don’t care. It’s a shame because I really liked this place.
I hope this was just a one-time mistake and that they improve their customer service in the future because I really liked...
