I had been coming to Skintique for a year and always enjoyed my treatments with Karina. She took the time to understand my needs and create a clear plan for my skin goals. After she left, I had two treatments with Jessica. While the personal touch wasn’t the same, her treatments were good and I was satisfied with the results. My issue — and the reason for this review — is what happened at my most recent appointment. I was scheduled for a 9:45 AM treatment, but at 9:21 AM I received a text saying that, due to a “situation,” my appointment needed to be rescheduled. I understand that unexpected things happen; that’s part of life. However, providing less than 25 minutes’ notice—especially to a loyal, repeat client—feels unacceptable. Skintique’s own policy is that cancellations made within 24 hours by a client are fully owed. The same standard of respect should apply in reverse. What really draws the line, there was no follow-up call to personally apologize or to reschedule. Instead, I am expected to take additional time to call in myself to arrange a new appointment. This is after I had already taken time off work, driven, and arrived ready for my treatment. A simple courtesy call from the receptionist at the time of cancellation would have gone a long way. I hope Skintique addresses situations like this in the future so other clients aren’t left with the same impression. Good treatments matter—but so does customer service. You are providing a “luxury” service, not a basic necessity, and the level of service needs to reflect that.

I’m not really the type to complain, or write a negative review but this felt needed.

To start off, I was seeing Karina here for several months. After being a loyal, and consistent client. I have to say how disappointed I am with Skintique …

Aside from the fact that phone calls only go through 60% of the time, the last 3 times I have visited have been nothing short of problematic.

Firstly, my nose was pretty deeply cut during a dermaplaning add-on to my hydrafacial (they charge $110 as an add-on, which is crazy imo) and was probably just due to my service being rushed, this took over a week to heal. Then, I bought a product - take it home, and come to realize it’s the wrong product inside the box, back to Skintique I go …

The last time I went, I had made an appointment for a pimple 911. I show up to my appointment, where Karina is standing in the front area talking to someone, then proceeds to bring her to the room. Karina then comes back out, tells me that her next appointment came early and she won’t be able to see me, she gave me a little sample packet and said “that’s about all I can do for you, sorry” No call to let me know I wouldn’t be able to be seen, nothing. How unprofessional.

I filed a compliant with the office manager Maggie, it’s been over 2 weeks and still have yet to speak with her, after numerous attempts.

Unless you want rushed services, and zero respect as a customer. Do yourself a favor, and don’t waste your time.

I will definitely be taking my...

It is so rare to find an esthetician you can fully trust—especially when ongoing facials can become such a big investment. But with Karina del Moral at Skintique, I can confidently say every single session is 100% worth it. She's not just someone who gives you a relaxing experience (although yes, her facials are incredibly calming)—she actually does the work to change your skin for the better.

I’ve had so many experiences in the past where I paid hundreds of dollars just for someone to wash my face, apply some masks and serums, and give me a nice massage. But Karina is in a completely different league. From the moment you sit down, she listens to your concerns, asks the right questions, and creates a treatment plan that’s actually tailored to your skin’s needs. No cookie-cutter approach here.

Her extractions are absolutely unmatched—gentle but incredibly effective. She somehow gets to the root of each blemish without causing trauma or damage to my skin. With every precise movement, my anxiety just melts away. You can tell she truly cares and takes pride in her craft.

Karina is a gem. She's knowledgeable, warm, professional, and fully committed to helping you feel confident in your skin. I trust her completely, and I honestly look forward to every appointment—not just for the results, but for the experience of being in her care. If you're looking for someone who will treat your skin like it’s her own,...
