This is my 3rd time ever coming here. I really love coming here and enjoying this place. All three times were for dinner, and I have yet to try their lunch, but I'd love to.
Atmosphere: Parking is limited as it does it get packed. There's free on-site parking, and there's a few pay to park spots if both small lots are filled. When you walk win you're greeted with either the bakery in the back or with the servers if you go through the front. You're met with a nice gorgeous modern style building with a dim lighting, depending on where you sit.
Wait time: It was peak hour. 6:30 pm on a Friday. However, you are allowed to reserve a table ahead of time on their website, which we did.
Menu: There's a ton of selections of food. The menu is available online. For dinner, they have chicken, beef, seafood, soup, kids menu, combo discount menu, liquor/drink menu, and much more. The pricing is a little bit on the expensive side, but the servings and portions are well worth the price.
Juice: Every single time I go, I always get the watermelon juice. They have many options like mango, orange, and much more. The juice is so pure. It's essentially blended watermelon with nothing else, and it's soooo delicious. The jar it comes in; it's super spectacular. I will always always always recommend this.
Food: Fried Yuca: If you had fried Yucatan before then, you'd understand how good it is. It's exactly tasty, just like Versailles (another Miami staple). It comes with 2 options I recommend with cilantro lime sauce. I asked for additional cause I dipped it in everything.
Boiled Yuca: I love love love love Yuca. Great temperature and texture.
French fries: This is way better than any fast food restaurant quality. These were crisp and super warm and tasty. These will have you only their French fries and not McDonald's or Burger King.
Palomilla Steak: This thinly sliced steak came very juicy and tasty. Topped with onions and cilantro. It's cooked to your request. I will be eating this again many times over!
Dessert: There's a full dessert menu. I choose Key lime pie. While I never had an official one in Key West, this was really delicious. The crust was so soft. And they even torched the topping a bit. I also would be choosing this again every single day.
Guest service: While most of Miami does speak Spanish only. I was happy to have a bilingual waiter that was available for our table. He was super polite, kind, and caring and checks up on you on how the food is, if you want a to go box. He was worth tipping!!!
Overall rating 4.95/5 stars. The only thing I disliked was I was next to an AC vent with no jacket or long sleeve. So I was cold while in...
Read moreJust as you, I tend to find myself looking through reviews to ensure I choose a good place to spend my money on a great meal and an enjoyable place. I tend to look at the negative reviews first, then follow up with the positive ones to find out if there is a balance.
There were a bunch of folks commenting on how the positive posts were so many at the same time frame, eluding to shady practice, continue reading, and i will elaborate below.
We had a great Sunday dinner here with out of town family who wanted some good cuban food. I will tell you that this place is a gem!! From the mixed drinks to the food and desserts, you can't go wrong with Havana Harry's. We had Arroz con Mariscos, Arroz con Pollo a la Chorrera, Stuffed Chicken (one of the house specials), and I can assure you that each dish was just as good if not better than the next. Further everyone is looking at the order on the table next to theirs to see what dish they will try next time. I will admit the service is a bit slow, but not too bad. I promise you it's worth it when you get quality food and are enjoying good conversation with those you are sharing with.
The service and attention were spectacular. Our server, Jorge, was awesome with great recommendations and very attentive considering they had a full house. He made our simple dinner feel as if we were celebrating a special event.
Back to the reviews. This restraunt wants honest feedback, and after dinner, they provide you a QR so you can honestly review their service. This is not limited to the person paying, but given to everyone at the table to capture everyone's experience. This is why you see so many reviews that are minutes apart on here. This shows that management is truly looking to continue to grow and to ensure that nothing is missed. The family and I eat out all the time, I don't know how I had never been here before today. I can assure you that this is now at the top of my list of favorites.
Thank you Jorge and Havana Harry's for giving us a welcome feeling with great food and excelent service and awesome atmosphere.
I hope this helps you decide to visit. This is our new go to restraunt and I hope to make it yours as...
Read moreMy overall experience was not great and unfortunately I can’t say that I’d return. I went at lunchtime and could not find a parking spot in either of their lots so paid $5 across the street in a city parking lot. Judging by the lack of parking I figured it would be packed inside but oddly enough it wasn’t. It was quite empty and we seated ourselves since there was no greeter/host. Initial service was good, order was quickly taken and food was brought out in a timely manner. Unfortunately that’s the best I can say as the rest of our dining experience was mediocre. We ordered a chicken sandwich and a steak sandwich and both were served on French bread. You’d think for a Cuban restaurant they’d at least have Cuban bread. We’re in miami - how difficult could that be? One of the side dishes we ordered was Moro which was terribly dry and flavorless. We ended our meal with a slice of cake ;strawberry shortcake) which surprisingly didn’t have any cake in it. It was just a pile of dry merengue, covered with whipped cream that was whipped almost to a butter consistency and topped with a few slices of strawberry. It was inedible. When the waitress brought the bill she also asked me to leave a google review to which I said, “sure,” not thinking that she meant right then and there. She literally insisted that I scan their QR code and leave a review on the spot. For some reason my connection was slow at that moment so she huffed about that, all the while leaning over my shoulder telling me to give her a five star review. I felt terribly uncomfortable and the situation was quite awkward that I ended up telling her that I felt pressured being put on the spot like that under such duress. The server seemed upset that I didn’t leave my review but gave me a coupon for a free cocktail during my next visit. I can’t say that I’ll be back, definitely not for the food or for the free drink. So if anyone else wants it, I’ll gladly give it to you. But let me end by saying, it’s just not worth it on any level. Not the food, not the experience. Havana Harry’s you let me down. Take the ‘Havana’ out of your name cause there was nothing remotely Cuban about my...
