First time eating here since we wanted to try a new Thai & Japanese place. I would never go back, what a nightmare.
Service: The waitress was unfamiliar with the menu. I asked her the size of the rice and she gave me a blank stare. Usually, I am told it's either big enough to share or not. She never acknowledged our table. I was looking around for at least 15 minutes when finally someone came over and I was able to ask for the rest of our food plus the spicy mayo. After the rice finally came, I had a question about the rice (you'll read below why) and I waited at least 30 minutes before she even noticed us. The only good thing she did was mention our rice situation to her manager. He came over and offered rice with chicken in it but it was already too late. I had waited way too long and just wanted to get out of there.
Food: We had the spring rolls as appetizers. Do not get them! They are horrible and sooo hard. They tasted frozen and no flavor at all. My Dragon Roll was different than what I'm used to, surprisingly the best thing in our table. The rice, oh the rice, had a weird taste, two pieces of shrimp, two pieces of steak and that was it folks. Menu says it's supposed to have chicken, pork and squid i believe. I asked for no squid and apparently they didn't add anything. When the waitress finally came to our table, she said the rice doesn't come with chicken. This came as a surprise as I would have never ordered it had I known that. My husband had the Ceviche Roll and I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT!
A few hours after going to sleep, my husband wakes up and starts vomiting the food. He was vomiting for three hours and felt faint. He was going to give the place a second chance until that...
Read moreJACKIE is the only reason that we rate this restaurant less than 5 stars. The food as always was delicious, but as Jackie greeted us upon entering the restaurant, she was rude, disrespectful, and dismissive. We had a dog with us, and therefore requested to sit outside, as we did not want to bring a dog inside of the restaurant for hygienic reasons. The tables outside are covered, and while the weather was cloudy, there was no rain falling. She refused to serve us outside, claiming imaginary rain, even when the server offered to take the table, she overruled the offer and denied us service again. She even went so far as to stand outside for 2 minutes, during which time 0 rain fell. She tried really hard to pretend that she felt a single drop, and again, denied us service. She then pretended to ask another server if they would serve us, then came back and said that she “would not force her servers to serve us outdoors and get sick.” While she asked, the second server nodded yes and gestured at the roof covering, and yet she still denied us service. We ordered to go, and she did not call us and let us know our order was ready, making us wait unawares outside. We ate our to go food at the dry & covered tables, during which time, a server sat another couple outdoors at the table next to us. JACKIE made this visit the worst time we have had at Moon Thai yet, as she seemed personally to want to...
