Ordered twice from here but will not do so again. Pros: nice variety of Asian food like Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai, etc. Basically an Asian fusion restaurant. Prices are lower than other places considering the dishes and variety of them on the menu, however, the food isn’t all that great. Anyone who’s had authentic Asian food will know the difference (me being Asian and having eaten lots of Asian food growing up). I ordered the pho, pad see ew, fried rice, bibimbap and sesame balls last night via Grubhub and it was disappointing, however I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised at this point, seeing as how Miami isn’t well known for Asian cuisine but more so Caribbean. The pho broth was too sweet, it might as well have been sugar and water, very little flavor at all besides being extremely sweet and I was very disappointed since I was craving pho the most. I haven’t found a restaurant that makes decent pho down here in Miami and will continue my search. The pad see ew was disappointing in the fact that it was very bland and not enough sauce and flavor in it. Best to eat that dish in a Thai restaurant I would say. The bibimbap was also disappointing in the fact that they used ground beef! Ground beef is almost never used in bibimbap at least from the dishes I’ve tried. It’s always thinly sliced beef but I suppose that’s for cutting costs hence a lower price point. The flavor was even more disappointing, seeing as how it didn’t even have a hint of the flavor typically used for the meat. I tasted cumin and more Caribbean flavors in the meat more so than the sweet and savory taste of the Korean dish is supposed to have. The fried rice was also bland, not much flavor in itself but not as disappointing as the other dishes since those are popular and well known dishes in their respective culture. The best thing I ate from here was probably only the sesame balls. A bit too greasy however it is deep fried so I can overlook that. Perhaps it’s to appeal to those who aren’t accustomed to Asian palates or maybe they don’t care, but I can for sure tell you nothing in this restaurant is authentic Asian food if that’s what you’re looking for. Even if that wasn’t its aim, they could at least make sure their food isn’t so bland. Pay the extra dollar and find the restaurants that specialize or cook only one or two cuisines at most (Thai/Japanese) if you want a bit more...
Read moreI really enjoyed the artistic and inviting ambiance of the place, beautiful paintings and nice seating which was what pulled me in from pictures online. Reason I’m giving 2 stars for the service: I say this with no ill intent but I guess this is how they run their restaurant. The place was not busy when we arrived, me and my friend along with a couple we the only ones dining at that moment.
-You have to pick a seat (sit yourself) -Then get up and pick up your menu because we realized no one was coming to take our order. (to then sit back down and look through it throughly before you decide) -then stand back up and go to the register to put in your order AND PAY WITH TIP because they don’t allow you to refuse gratuity even though I have been waiting for service the moment I sat down. (Yes they could see me) Reasons being: “we setup and bring food to your table” (as if that’s not your job already) Meanwhile server told us to sit back down, and mind you we’re so close to the counter we can pick up our own food at this point. She did not set up our table she simply moved the food from one place to the other and placed the utensils, chopsticks, and napkins in a pile on the middle for us to arrange ourselves. Not once did she check up on us and the food, she was on the phone along with the cashier and every so often checking on DoorDash/UberEats deliveries. I give the food three stars for plating, freshness, and how fast it was finished making. I simply did not like the noodles, they tasted a bit raw and the kimchi was not spicy enough or flavorful to call it spicy...
Read moreI went to the Ohho Noodles Market location and the Gabriel the runner was extremely rude. I ordered a ramen beef stew and it came out extremely salty/uneatable. I tried to eat some of it and started with the noodles which were tasting a little weird till I got to the broth and found out how bad it was. Like someone dropped salt and MSG on it. I approached the Gabriel that was running the floor and the food and he started talking in Spanish clearly thinking I don’t speak Spanish and telling the kitchen “She says it was extremely salty so that’s why she eat half of it” (which was also not true, childish and unprofessional) so I stop talking to him after this and started to communicate in Spanish with the chef and he said he could make the plate again for me. I left to go back to my table and I went back to ask for the manager and the name of the guy who was being unprofessional and rude (Gabriel) and he told me there was no manager and didn’t want to provide any type of help. Meanwhile I see them boiling water in a separate pot and Gabriel is telling the kitchen to just throw water on top of my plate instead of giving me a new one. I waited for my plate and then Gabriel came back with a bowl full of water and broth with no flavor. I was super sad and I decided to leave and on my way to the door I found him looking at my table with my almost overflow bowl of water and laughing at the fact that I didn’t eat it. I politely approached him to ask for the general manager number or someone I can talk to and he laughed and told me to find out in...
