I have never written a negative hotel review before, but I feel obligated to share what was, without a doubt, the most unpleasant and disrespectful experience I’ve ever had when checking into a hotel.
We arrived around 12:00 AM, exhausted from traveling and with our young child. From the moment we approached the front desk, the staff member who attended us treated us with a cold, dismissive…. There was absolutely no empathy, no courtesy, no willingness to assist nothing that one would expect from a professional working in hospitality.
When we asked kindly if she spoke Spanish, she responded abruptly and condescendingly, “No,” and turned away. We then asked if anyone on staff spoke Spanish, and again she said “No” , which turned out to be a lie, as we later noticed several other staff members who did speak Spanish. It felt like she wanted to make things harder for us.
She asked for our ID and credit card without any explanation. I politely asked her to speak slower because I don’t speak fluent English and I was trying my best to understand but she completely ignored my request and kept speaking rapidly and coldly. Not once did she make an effort to assist or make us feel welcomed.
When we finally went to the room, we realized it was not suitable for our child and requested to change rooms, even offering to pay the difference. She refused again, claiming there were no other rooms available, without even checking.
What upset me the most was when I tried to ask her for water for my child. She literally turned her back on me and walked away. When she returned to the lobby, I was standing there waiting, and she completely ignored me again. I tried to address her, but she dismissed me once more, saying she was on the phone. At that point, I became upset and asked what her problem was. Her behavior was unacceptable and far from professional.
Feeling extremely disrespected and unwelcome, we decided to leave. She then made things even more difficult by giving us a hard time about the refund, making up excuses that were simply not true.
This was supposed to be a simple check-in at a hotel we were excited to stay in. Instead, it turned into a humiliating and hurtful experience. No guest, especially one arriving late at night with a child, deserves to be treated this way. This individual is not fit for the front desk or for any position involving...

We had our wedding at Thesis Hotel this past Saturday, and it was, without question, the best weekend of our lives. Everything about our experience was flawless, and we owe it all to the incredible team at Thesis.
Special recognition goes to Vikash, Faod, Fernando, JP, Brian, Maria, as well as the exceptional banquet and valet staff. Each one of them played an integral role in making our wedding weekend extraordinary.
Vikash, the General Manager, set the tone by ensuring his entire team was prepared and fully committed to delivering an unforgettable experience. He went above and beyond to make us feel special every step of the way.
Faod—wow, where do I even begin? Faod was the mastermind behind our wedding. His meticulous attention to detail and unparalleled customer service ensured that everything went off without a hitch. I can confidently say this wedding wouldn’t have been the same without him.
Fernando, our concierge, was truly a lifesaver. His dedication and quick thinking were incredible. At one point, we needed a mirror in the groomsmen’s room, and Fernando literally ran to his house to bring one back for us. That kind of commitment is rare and deeply appreciated.
Brian’s care and genuine investment in our wedding meant so much to us. He truly wanted everything to be perfect, and his kindness didn’t go unnoticed.
JP ensured our stay at the hotel was seamless and stress-free. Every detail of our hotel experience felt thoughtful and five-star thanks to him.
Maria, thank you for getting us to the finish line! Your dedication was amazing.
From the stunning décor to the unparalleled attention to detail, our wedding was everything we dreamed of and more. I can’t recommend Thesis Hotel enough for weddings or large events. The food was to die for !!! The team here operates at a level of excellence that’s in a class of its own.

Read moreThis is a really nice hotel, beautifully located in Coral Gables near the University of Miami. I stayed there 2 night with my friend and we both developed allergies because they do not clean the room regularly. The staff was very nice but the service such as asking for towels took so long. First day of our stay the shower head cord was broken, which sprayed the entire bathroom. No one could take a shower and we had to wait for a replacement and we had somewhere to be by 7pm. Someone came eventually (that was fastest service request of our stay) and replace the shower head cord. When we came back from our outing by midnight the wet towels were still in the bathroom. The next day we went out and came back at around 1pm and wet towels were still on the bathroom floor. We call to have them picked up but no one came. The trash bin in the room was never emptied. My friend had to empty our trash in the garbage by the elevator outside. She asked for a trash bag for the wet towel since no one ever came to pick them up. We left the room and eventually someone came and made the bed by the time we returned at 9pm, but the room was never vacuum. I’m glad I had Zyrtec with me because the allergen in the room was making us sick, sneezing, runny nose, my friend lost her voice as well and coughing . The guest service and all the staff we encountered were extremely friendly but the housekeeping services are almost non existent, probably because they are short staffed. Their elevators are extremely slow and one broke down on the 2nd day of our stay. 3stars for a beautiful laid out hotel but 2 stars off for it not running properly to accommodate their guests. They need more housekeeping staffing for this size hotel. I tell you it is truly unfortunate that such a beautiful hotel is lacking such vital service and I am sad to say that I will not stay at the Thesis...
