I hope this message finds you well. I recently placed an order through Uber Eats from your restaurant, and unfortunately, I am deeply disappointed with the experience. Firstly, the presentation of the dishes was far below what I had expected. Both items were not only poorly presented but also lacked basic ingredients that were listed on the menu. I was expecting a well-prepared meal, but instead, I received portions that were notably smaller than anticipated. Additionally, several key items that were supposed to be included in the order were completely absent. This left me feeling frustrated, as I had paid for a meal I didn’t receive in full. To make matters worse, the portion sizes were unreasonably small, which did not justify the price at all. I genuinely feel that this experience was not reflective of the quality I’ve heard associated with your restaurant. I am sharing this feedback in hopes that you will take it into consideration for future orders. I believe that addressing these concerns can prevent similar experiences for other customers and help improve your overall service. Thank you for your time, and I hope this...
Read moreI had such high hopes for this restaurant because walking in, the ambiance was beautiful. Unfortunately things went downhill from there. I am from Vancouver, so I already had accepted that the quality of the food would be unmatchable compared to ours. But the service was slow and uneducated. After waiting on 40 minutes for two rolls (keep in mind that there were only 6 tables occupied at this time, a few of them were already there when we walked in, these two rolls would have came out in 10 mins if we were in Vancouver), it didn’t come with wasabi. Instead it came with some random lettuce. I noticed the other sushi rolls that others received did have wasabi, no lettuce, and when I asked the waitress for some, she had thought I meant “the sauce” which was confusing, so I repeated and she seemed to understand when I said “the green thing.” It might be picky but you should know what wasabi is working at a sushi restaurant. While we were waiting for our roll to come, we kept getting inaccurate wait times such as “5 more minutes” when it was 3x longer. I definitely won’t be coming back. Sushi lovers...
Read moreHad a decent meal at Saki Sushi at Miracle Mile. My favorite Japanese spot in Coral Gables was closed for extended 4th July weekend, so I was trying this place out for first time.
Nice location with indoor / outdoor seating. But music (top hits) was played a little loud inside - and didn’t give the more serene atmosphere I associate with most things Japan.
The Wahoo dish (pictured) was the best thing I had. The sesame seeds and spring onion gave it a nice kick. The conch sashimi was the worst. Had very little taste other than the soy / wasabi. The California roll with eel was quite good too…. But the rice was either not cooked right or they not using Japanese rice. It didn’t have that slightly wet yet fully cooked quality of true sushi rice.
Service was very friendly and attentive. Though I mentioned twice to the waiter that am very familiar with Japanese food, he kept explaining very basic things to me that weren’t necessary. But he meant well.
Not a bad spot but there is far better Japanese in town for that same price point. I paid $60 (no alcohol) including tip for a decent...
