I have been a member of the ZIeL Cycling Club for the last 2 years. The ZIeL training rides, the camaraderie and guidance from ZIeL ride leaders and fellow ZIeL cyclists, the training posts and videos, and the well-organized rides and events, have been instrumental in my development as a cyclist.
Most recently, I had the distinct pleasure of participating in an awesome ZIeL cycling trip to Mallorca, Spain, which was truly one of the best experiences I've had since embarking on my cycling journey. I can't wait for the next ZIeL trip!
And now, with the opening of the beautiful ZIeL Concept Store in South Miami, we all have an amazing place to call our home-away from home. As soon as you walk in, you forget that you are in Miami. It feels more like you are in Girona, Copenhagen or Palma. The store has a beautiful European-inspired decor and offers great food items and an incredible selection of Panther coffees. It also offers top line bikes like the Officine Mattio Italian line of high performance road bikes, the Lightweight line of road bike wheels, the Pas Normal Studios cycling kit line (among the very best quality kits available anywhere), a full selection of cycling accessories, and anything else you may need to enhance your cycling experience. In addition, ZIeL offers bike servicing and bike fitting using state-of-the-art equipment and a seasoned staff of professional technicians .
I encourage everyone who is a cyclist, or who is interested in becoming a part of the South Florida cycling community, whether a beginner or a seasoned rider, to come by and visit the store to experience all that ZIeL has to offer.
And even if you aren't a cyclist (yet), the coffee and food items are among the best in all of South Miami. Come by during your coffee break or take advantage of ZIeL's free WiFi and work remotely out of the store. You will undoubtedly be greeted by a member of the ZIeL team with a warm and...
Read moreThere are many, many cycling shops in our neck of the woods. Fortunately for us, the overwhelming majority are solid. How then can we measure a shop's deviation from an already respectable norm? The first and perhaps most important factor to consider is the level of mechanical skill offered to customers. Jose - Ziel's in-house bike wizard - is in a league of his own. His work is the best in Dade county, full stop. He treats his customers' bikes as if they were his own and pays attention to every minute detail. Another factor that Ziel has down is product selection. The team has an almost persnickety eye for quality and nothing enters the shop without robust examination. If you buy kit here, you'll be happy. Factor three; from an aesthetic standpoint, the shop is stunning. On top of all this, the shop runs perhaps the most inclusive, friendly, and committed group rides in Miami.
Please note, however, that Ziel does position itself upmarket. The products on offer are at the most premium end of the cycling world. Although the team is incredibly beginner-friendly, just know that you are entering a space devoted to the art, beauty, and...
Read moreI ordered delivery and was extremely disappointed.Cold brew - Creamy and smooth with notes of malted chocolate and vanilla. Did not receive but instead a plain simple cold brew. Now the reason this upsets me is the price difference for their fancier version of cold brew it's $7.00 vs. $3.00 for a plain cold brew, which I didn't order but received and was charged for their fancier $7.00! cold brew.
I then received a message saying that one of the empanadas and the Apple Fruit Danish were out of stock. Which I was cool with, but when my order arrived, I was expecting at least my chocolate croissant. Nope, instead, I received a burnt-up almond scone if it could be called that. And some broken macaroons.
At least their beef empanada was made well - maybe you should stick to that! I also suggest improving your packing for delivery the cold brew that arrived had spilled all over my bag, clearly not secured correctly for traveling/delivery.
Would I recommend ordering takeout/delivery from here?...
