The Enchanted Dollhouse — Restaurant in South Miami

The venue was pretty, but I’m not happy overall with the experience considering what we paid. For starters, it was really HOT inside the venue…I was sweating the whole time as were my guests. They admitted something was wrong with their AC and set up fans throughout the venue, but it didn’t help. We were literally sweating the whole time. My second issue was with the “food”…the sandwiches were tiny, soggy little rectangles and left A LOT to be desired. The worst part was that they claim to take photos of your party but we just got ours and they are all extremely BLURRY. Many are missing and the ones we got are horrible quality. We didn’t take many photos ourselves as we were expecting the ones they took, and I regret it now as they are absolutely terrible. The owner says the camera was accidentally put out of focus. There is no excuse for a mistake like this. We have almost no memories of my baby shower to look back on. I’m very upset and extremely disappointed. I would not recommend this venue, especially for what they charge…they must do better.

Update: My best friend and I both called the venue to express our dissatisfaction and the owner was whiny, full of excuses, and RUDE. I am disgusted by her lack of professionalism. Do yourself a favor and AVOID this venue at all costs. Sure, it’s cute looking, but you will be sorry if you spend your hard earned money here. I know we are.

One last thing! The owner replied (as she does to all the negative reviews) in an attempt to save face and discredit the terrible experiences of her paying customers. Her reply is full of “excuses” and flat out LIES. I laughed out loud reading her ridiculous claims. She had to buy extra sandwiches for my party because they ate all theirs and the next party’s?? LOL. My guests were literally STARVING from the lack of food provided at a cost of over $40 per person (the prices just went up and it is now $50 plus tax per person for what we received). I never called this woman names, that is ludicrous. Nor did I threaten her in any way. She is simply trying to discredit me and justify the awful treatment she has provided us. Also, she did NOT talk to us for “hours looking for a resolution”…it was 20 minutes at most and the majority of that time we were on hold. She was beyond rude and unprofessional…even hanging up the phone at one point. We spoke to her in a respectful and calm manner. This woman is a manipulator and a liar. The worst customer service experience I have ever received, hands down. Consider yourself warned. I would give this place no stars If I could! If you want to spend thousands of dollars for a less than mediocre event this is the place for you! I paid for a royal tea party (which is the most expensive option) and custom theme. My "custom theme" was that of teddy bears which I paid an additional $400 for and all I got were these tiny horrific teddy bears on the table I could've gotten at the dollar store myself. I was promised a custom banner stating "We Can Bearly Wait", burlap table runners, greenery and topiaries to dress up the location. The food options was the most embarrassing for me, or should I say lack of food. I could've made better appealing sandwiches at home. Table service what is that? My photo was taken 31 min into my event (mind you each event is 2 hours long) there was no beverages served, plates, napkins not even the food was ready to be served. I had to ask for all this and the beverages I took to the event myself. I poured my guests their beverages while staff was doing god knows what! I would steer clear of this place unless you want to be disappointed. I feel robbed of my one and only baby...

If I could give 0 stars I would. I made a reservation through open table for my mother's birthday and received confirmation through email and text confirmation for the reservation at 11:00 AM.

When we arrived at the Enchanted Dollhouse the space was closed with a sign that read "Closed for Tea Service." The place had no lights on and the were doors locked. I called the phone number and reached the owner who said she was going to check for the reservation which she found.

To the owners benefit she did offer complimentary tea service on another day unfortunately it's unfeasible. I had requested the day off specifically for my mother's birthday and unfortunately our schedules are not flexible. She seemed embarrassed that staff did not show up to open the business as she (the owner)...
