They dont even deserve 1star
As a long-time fan of Honest, I’ve visited multiple locations across the United States and have always appreciated the consistent quality and authentic taste that Honest is known for. So naturally, I was excited to try this location. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing and far below expectations.
Chinese Bhel – Completely Off the Mark
This dish is one of my favorites—typically made with crispy fried noodles, sautéed in flavorful Schezwan sauce, and mixed with a variety of vegetables. Instead, what I received was soft noodles mixed with cabbage-based Manchurian balls—no crunch, no texture, and very little resemblance to the actual dish. It felt like a completely different item.
Triple Schezwan Fried Rice – Mostly Noodles!
I specifically ordered this expecting fried rice, but what I got was about 80% noodles and barely 5% rice. When I asked the staff, the person helping me claimed the rice was “at the bottom” and offered to mix more rice into it. I appreciated the gesture, but the overall taste was so poor that I declined. Unfortunately, the attitude I received was unwelcoming—like they were doing me a favor by even serving food. It was unprofessional and rude.
Fake Reviews & Misleading Reputation
The same staff member bragged that this is the “best Honest in the USA,” which I find extremely misleading. Based on my experience and what I overheard (yes, I could hear the staff criticizing me in the kitchen—I understand Gujarati), I can’t help but believe that many of the positive reviews are either fake or curated by removing honest negative feedback.
Other Dishes Were Also a Letdown • Pav Bhaji: Clearly pre-made, likely from a week ago, and just reheated. • Masala Pav: Tasted like sautéed bread with red chili powder, turmeric, and plain mashed potatoes—lacking any real masala flavor. • Chinese Bhel with Manchurian & Paneer: Again, soft noodles and no real crispness or balance.
Overpriced & Undelivered
Paying $15+ per plate for food that lacks quality, freshness, and proper flavor is simply not acceptable. This location seems to be riding on the Honest brand name without delivering the Honest experience.
If the owner is serious about running an “Honest” restaurant, I would highly recommend visiting other locations—especially in India—to understand what real Honest food tastes like. Right now, this place is doing a disservice to the brand and to loyal customers who...
Read moreHere’s an honest review for “Honest Indian” restaurant since we’re keeping it real. I love Indian food and vegetarian style options. Let me start with the positives. Pros: This is a nice and clean place in an easily accessible area. And now for the honest part of my review. Cons: The number 1 downside is the flavor of their food. I ordered 2 different Dosas from the menu before writing this review. The first time I had the highly recommended “Dabang” dosa which sounds good on paper but is way too tomato based, and tastes more enchilada-ish than a dosa. If I want Mexican style food, i’ll go to a Mexican restaurant. Secondly, the dosa wasn’t crispy enough and was too soft in texture. Finally the masala served on the side does not taste good in combination with the tomato hot sauce in the Bamba dosa. So I ordered a different atypical menu item -Fine, I thought let me give it a second try and order a traditional menu item- Masala Dosa. Once again, the taste was just ok/ meh. The dosa was a bit on the soft side, and they hardly give enough of the side sauces. But my number one disappointment with their dosa masala, was the potato or aloo filling inside which should be the tastiest thing about it. Plainly speaking, it lacks in the flavor department. Its also got cashews in it- i’ve never had dosa masala with the potato filling having cashews, certainly a very odd addition to the potato filling. Its like its missing a bit more dania seasoning or something. My second complaint is with the customer service which you have to pay a tip for at the register. But there is no customer service other than the waitress/cashier bringing the food to you. I had to ask for water, to which the waiter on both occasions said it was in the front in a pitcher. The water did not have ice, and was clearly tap water. Then I asked for napkins and utensils. Again, the waiter prompted me to get it at the front of the restaurant. So if I have to seek out basic dining necessities and get them myself, why should I pay a tip? I’m doing like 90% of the serving. So, all in all, meh flavor, and even less customer service. But at least they’re not mean or anything- just not attentive to customers’ basic dining needs. If you want a real dosa, go to Bhangalore Dhaba in Pembroke Pines for a much tastier dosa, similarly decent price, and more...
Read moreI have been to many Honest Restaurants in United States before visiting the one in Miami. They have had always great taste in all the branches except this one in Miami. Not at all nearby to any of the other branches that I have visited. I would really like the Franchise to come take a look and verify the taste that was taught to them before opening. We went there for dinner from 1.5 hours with great hopes. But very very disappointed. It's not like we tried one or 2 items from the menu. I ordered so many items. Also, I felt like quantity was less compared to other branches. Veg Manchurian's skin was so hard, you can even break it with your spoon n fork. Gravy was not great too. Pav bhaji's bhaji didn't tasted like anything. Just a boiled veggies. I don't think they even had any pav bhaji masala in it. Chinese bhel wasn't good too. Just extra spicy schezwan sauce put over noodles n veggies. Again not like what it should be or what other Honest Restaurants serve. Sev puri's chutney felt like it wasn't fresh and had some foul smell. We also ordered Bahubali Grilled sandwich. It comes with pineapple jam which not all people like. I have had it at everytimes whenever I have been to Honest. At every branch, they have asked me if I wanted jam in it or not as it makes sandwich sweet. At this location, they didn't even bothered to ask and resulted in having me sweet sandwich. It may be my fault too partly. But they are at fault too. I would have given 1 star but it's one of my favorite franchise in United States for Indian food. To respect that, I am giving 2 stars. -Wouldn't recommend travellling too far and with great hopes to have good Indian street food here. I really hope someone from the high authority, owner of the restaurant and managing team to take a look at this review and also try to high your standard in serving the food of one of the great franchise they...
