WHOOOSA, I do not usually write second reviews but here I am. I originally went here on 9/22 & was asked to send a message to corporate & they asked me to try out the coral springs location again. Let me tell you after this experience I would rather eat dirt than give this another chance again. When we arrived there was about an hour wait & we chose to wait outside. We were seated at 7:37 p.m.. We received the text message & were brought to sit at the bar area. We were told our server would "be right with us". We were talking & having a good time, when my Mother in Law finally said Wait.. how come no one has came to us but they have gone to every other table. Mind you it had been more than 20 minutes & not one person found it suspicious that we were without bread, drinks & stopped to asked if he had been assisted. At that point she got up and went to the hostess to see what was happening. Immediately a GM came over & he was acting terrified of us. He explained there was an over sight and the server was told we were the bartenders table & the bartender was told we were the servers table. We were told the server would be there "immediately" as well as provide a discount for the inconvenience. Another 10 minutes or so passed & he finally appears to take drink orders & ask if we wanted bread. We chose to put our orders in right then. we ordered endless shrimp, Cajun chicken linguini, Cajun chicken linguini& orzo bowl with crispy brussels sprouts. 30 minutes pass & food comes out. Then our server turned into Houdini &disappeared for at least 20 minutes. My mother in law wanted to order additional shrimp, when he finally reappeared it took more than 20-25 minutes for that to come out and our server would pass by & claim he was checking on our food then disappear. At this point the table was full of dishes & the server did not even try to remove any. Mother in law moves the dishes to an empty nearby table. Busser comes & gets visibly angry at us for putting dishes there since no one came to clear them & begins SLAMMING the dishes into the bus pan very loudly right next to our table. & you guessed it. Our server was playing Houdini with the disappearing act again. At this point it is about 9 p.m. & we are being completely ignored. Then server finally reappears & we finally get drink refills and request boxes, & a shrimp linguini order. 9:30 comes & no linguini. At this point the server passes by like everything is all good & my mother in law asks where her food is. He claims someone told him they delivered it. They didn't. He says he will check on it and bring the boxes. 5 minutes later, another person "checks on us" &we ask for the food we are waiting on& boxes & that person says they are going to check on it. 5 more minutes. server returns with nothing in hand claiming our food is "almost ready" but he has no boxes or anything.9:45 food arrives. then 2 minutes later a duplicate of the food arrives. At this point we ask the server if they are short &only have one cook because we did not feel we got good service. He says there are 3 cooks & he is too busy for our side of the dining room & more focused on the larger dining room. Then He shrugs us off & walks away. Finally I get up & request the manager. Zhana comes over. I explain why I am even there to begin with & she knows all about my first visit & she looks a bit shook. She begs me to try again & she will personally serve me to salvage my terrible experiences. I tell her I am not sure. She is very professional & takes my concerns & all of our frustrations and I appreciated that. At that point she asks if I would like to speak with the district manager Larron, who happened to be there & gave me his cell number for us to discuss the experience. I left a message & have not gotten a call back but that doesnt matter at this point because Id never return to another red lobster if I was being paid to do so. It was after 11 when we got our last food and left....
Read moreGoogle asked me how my experience at Red Lobster was. 2 words: NOT GOOD. It seems the Coral Springs location primarily employs teens and high schoolers/students. Which is fine if there is someone present to oversee them. Also I do not mind a place employing teens as I have 4 teens myself. BUT their age requires supervision since for most teens something like this is there first job and they need guidance on professionalism. While waiting the hostess and another girl cleaning the bar area gushed about one of their puerto rican and jamaican new "man" while simultaneously texting said man, the hostess jokingly argued with a new busser she stated that her high school was closed on Friday's and she mocked him for having school that day, then at one point the busser sat down in front of the rest room and the hostess kept aggressively telling him to get up because if she could not sit, neither could he at which time she stated she had arrived at 11 that morning... it was after 9 p.m.. The same hostess and girl cleaning the bar talked about how multiple cooks called out, the kitchen was backed up, and that after being seated there would be an hour wait for food at the table. The entire 20-25 minute wait no one manager was present. Finally, we get seated at a 6 top round table that had extension pieces on it, it was supposed to be a romantic dinner for me and my boyfriends 4 year anniversary. The table extension pieces for bent downward and everything kept sliding off the table. We had a great server- super nice and accommodating. I want to say his name was Davonte? We decided to place our order for the crab cheese fries, endless shrimp and cajun chicken pasta. I also ordered a $5.00 margarita. Our entrees came out cold and within minutes. Long before our appetizer ever arrived. This baffled me because supposedly there was a kitchen backup and long wait for food. We asked for our app and it finally came out and it tasted like someone dumped an entire bottle of lemon juice on it and barely had crab as well as being cold too. It took 20 minutes for my drink to arrive and then it was water.. no alcohol and had something black floating in it so I sent it back without wanting a replacement. Our server offered us a discount that we never actually got. He did however go to great lengths to help us put the extension pieces down on our table to stop everything from sliding off. Also we got baited into signing up for the rewards and never got our 10% off. We took the fries home and whatever else we did not eat. They also offered us a complimentary picture, then tried to charge us 20 dollars and ultimately gave us one that had Red Lobster food pictures all around it. Overall just not what we expect from a place that boasts as a "finer" dining...
Read moreMy husband and I went to dinner this past Monday night!! Shelly was our server! An amazing job she does!! We are regulars and always come in for her!! This evening was one of the most disappointing evening I had here at this Red Lobster located in Coral Springs. Everything was dirty. I had to send my silverware back because there was food all over it and the handles were sticky as if it was never washed. I ordered salmon with a skewer of scallops. The salmon was okay. Not the best I have had there before. The scallops were seriously lacking in flavor, salt and a good sear on them. I get to the last of the food on my plate and there was a black hair underneath my scallops and broccoli. I am a seriously long haired red head. So I know it wasn't my hair. I excused myself grossed out and went to the ladies room and the door entering was dirty and sticky. Everything including the stall was sticky. Toilets weren't cleaned and toilet paper not flushed. Floor was dirty as if it wasn't mopped. I grabbed the handles with my along sleeve shirt and used my foot to flush the toilet. I make my way to the sink and the paper towel dispenser was seriously dirty with spots and crusty food all over it and I have no idea what was splattered on the soap dispenser and wall but it looked gross. We got a free dessert because of the hair in my food. Now remind you it was like 4:30pm so it really, really dead. So the establishment should've and could've been a hell of a lot clearer then it was!! Everything I just complained about has nothing to do with our server. Shelly is an amazing woman and a hard worker and does the best and a wonderful job to take care of her costumers. This is on the management and staff not performing their regular duties when their shift is finished. I am a line cook and a sous chef and I have been in the restaurant industry since I was 12yrs old getting paid under the table as a busser. I am 43 now. This is very disappointing. I will miss this Red Lobster and Shelly if it continues to go south and not comply with standard codes and cleanliness and or possibly get shut down. I just saw that someone else complained about the same thing and it was on channel 10 news for 11 violations when a health inspector suddenly showed up unexpectedly due to the complaints. I hope this situation is taking care of and address in such a manner as it should be to run a proper and good restaurant as it always was before their lack of work ethic...
