I’ve never much cared to review establishments however I felt this specific business required a shout out. I never had a problem with the staffing quite frankly I really enjoyed them. I thought they were quick, attentive and personable. I guess I was wrong ! Let me first start off by saying my husband made a gods to honest mistake and hit the no tip bottom (normally I take care of payments) after a pretty expensive bill and while we were talking about it we were approached by the owner of the company asking us why we didn’t tip. It was explained and told we felt terrible about that and it was corrected as I tipped in cash. I thought it was pretty cool that the owner would say something looking out for his employees tbh. Again wrong ! So continuing on we hadn’t returned because it was embarrassing and I would still get on my husband about that when brought up. Last night happened to be a friends bday party so we came back after months of not returning. Staff seemed nice and I felt good there was no awkward tension. So needless to say we had a nice time and when it came time to pay the bill I had said to one of the employees (who I believe is a food runner) for a box and that we were ready for the check if he could let one of the other staff know. I was very rudely greeted again by the owner telling me that I need to tell the bartenders i want the check and maybe if I wasn’t standing behind a pole they could see me. Well that apparent pole that was “blocking” me was were I received service all night while ordering drinks and food. I found that to be very distasteful of a business owner to speak with such attitude and considering that the bar was completely packed I wouldn’t be able to get anyone’s attention. I told my husband what was just said to me as I was to flustered to continue the transaction if he could complete the payment. Once completed after much debate in my brain felt it would was necessary to talk to the owner and express my feelings about the way I was spoken too. The owner of the company had given me permission to walk in the back of the kitchen I explained to him that I enjoy his staff but his company was never well received. I was told that apparently we always get really drunk and never tip and we rack up a huge bill and that about the whole pole situation that was my fault for standing there. I had proceeded to ask one the employees and he was shook and said he never said anything the owner by name said two employees Bridgett and Damien are the ones who said that. Well Damien has always been nice so that was a shock to hear his name Bridgett on the other hand always kind of had an attitude and wasn’t the nicest I always chalked it off to maybe she just doesn’t like other females but who knows. Anyways I always tip very well and considering that’s a place I used to frequent i always wanted to keep a good face. The only truth spoken by the owner was he’s right we did rack up huge bills and contrary to his belief tipped well. So he definitely lost two loyal customers and I will no longer be recommending that business. Considering the amount of business they get doubt this will matter but honestly hands down one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. You don’t speak to your customers that way and I know I was never...
Read moreChris here, I thought take a moment to cook up the most descriptive review possible and clear up animosity about the detail I speak in if it’s only about myself, and invest some of that energy towards something else. Everything about Game Night Arcade is great. By great I mean every single staff member goes above and beyond well above their stress levels to maintain the liveliness and atmosphere of the venue. The commitment to their patience and work ethic is commendable in ways they show up day in and day out, time passes and for me, it wasn’t until further down the road the realization hits on how down to earth and intuitive everyone is in their own way.
I don’t speak much but when I do it comes from a space of giving something either a lot of practice or thought as critical as I can get enough to create value from it. When thoughts that come from me aren’t usually expressed in an overnight type of fashion. Sometimes I have relevant input or there’s an acute moment I take to share something about me on things that don’t happen overnight.
Like my experience here. The foods great, and conversations are genuine. What should be common knowledge is me not pretending to say things to impress anyone. I have this body odor issue I don’t get far with, that I don’t think I’m trying to look a certain way other than recognizing something I have in common or input on something I’ve previously reflected on.
They don’t know this but I didn’t have enough funds to pay off college tuition this year. That and medical leave meant having a social anything might be rough. And being unsuccessful in finding a roommate for a while, heading home turned into a general impression based on the consensus generally having that. I’ll stop that story here, and instead even though I find myself into trouble.
I think the final visit there I left with the impression the integrity they have and consideration they have for others is more than they let on. A critical moment was when the owner became more concerned about something more than I did at the time that was related to health and fitness putting it lightly. Euphemism is heavily used here by what the magnitude of the situation was in contrast to how it’s said here. What I wasn’t expecting was him or anyone really to remembering details of information most people typically forget. But that moment stuck with me and with good reason.
I know in a controlled space where the venue speaks for itself and drinks are involved not doing much towards anything memory boosting related. I’m already under the impression things I say not really being completely retained. It rules out attention seeking. Instead experience and consistency outweighs reasons like instant gratification. Speech patterns like this don’t also happen over night either. I studied literature because I liked it at one point, so things just come together after time. The same way good things become more of an orchestration of positivity and impact here.

Read moreWhat a neat idea. This is definitely the only place you're going to find like this around here. If you're looking to get drunk with friends and play Mario Kart then this place would be perfect for you. Unfortunately, my experience was less than ideal. Being 19, obviously the alcohol wasn't what caught my interest. I've been in a few times before out of curiosity, and was mostly met with slightly underwhelming experiences, but nothing I wouldn't go back for (they had an Metroid Fusion rom that really brought me back to my childhood, so no complaints with the game selection). My last visit was about when I realized maybe this place just wasn't my cup of tea. I was immediately met with an $8 cover charge for being a "minor" (under 21), something that is completely unknown until you sit down to order. I probably would've walked out then, given I wasn't already tired, stressed, and hungry from work. So I just ate the price and ordered my meal, cheeseburger and fries with a coke. The coke was completely flat. Oh well, no use complaining about it, it's not like they can carbonate it for me. The cheeseburger was a reheated frozen patty with american cheese served on white sandwich bread (they had the decency to toast the sandwich bread) with nothing else. You probably would have a better time at 7-11, at a third of the cost. The fries... well frankly I wouldn't know considering they gave me approximately 6 potato chips with my burger (despite me still paying the extra dollar for fries, but I digress). I decided to treat myself with dessert, some brown sugar and butter mini croissants. Most likely bought from some grocery store's frozen aisle, all 3 of them were still cold in the middle, and were about as dry and hard as sugar-dusted sedimentary rock. My tab at the end came out to a little over $30 (including a tip, I'm no monster). Looking over that tab made me realize that though I've had my fun, I think it's time to move on without really any plans on coming back any time soon. Like I said earlier, if you just wanna hang out, get drunk, and game with your friends then this place is perfect for you. It's pretty much built around that. But if you're just looking for a quick game along with a cheap microwaved meal, then I'd recommend saving yourself the time and money and doing it at...
