I have been contemplating whether or not I should write this review...

I have been to this establishment on THREE separate occasions, and every time, it has been INCONSISTENT in every way.

The first time, it was late (a couple hours before they were closing) and was probably the best encounter out of the three. I got a color, wash, blow dry, and flat iron. The stylist was friendly and attentive. I was very pleased with the outcome.

Based on that experience, I decided to go back to this establishment. I called and made an appointment with that particular stylist.

When I arrived at my appointment, I was told that particular stylist does NOT work on that day.... hmm, weird because when I called, I asked if I could book with that particular stylist, and they told me. I even recalled repeating the date, time, and stylist name prior to ending the call just to confirm, yet now, the day of the appointment, they are telling me she doesn't work on that day? OKAY

So, I was placed with someone else.

My SECOND appointment wasn't awful. The stylist did a good job: wash, blow dry, flat iron, cut

My biggest concern is why tell me I can book with someone when they are off???? I would have booked another day.

Anyways..

My THIRD appointment really had me livid.

I called three days prior to the date I intended on getting my hair done. I wanted to get my hair done in the morning as I had to go somewhere later on that day.

I asked if the first stylist was working, she was off. Okay, fine.

I asked if the second stylist was available, I was told she was free, so I booked with her.

The morning of, we all walked into the establishment because it was 9am (that's when they opened) low and behold, she was double booked.

I was told that another stylist would do my hair.

I got a wash, blowdry, and flat iron.

This stylist was nice, I admit, but honestly, between the blowdryer and flat iron, my scalp SWORE and BURNT. It is so red and HURTS.

I really wanted to like this place, especially after the first experience, but it is so inconsistent in appointments, quality & price.

IS IT REALLY WORTH IT??

I can't even part my hair without even seeing red inflamed sections from where I was burned.

What needs to change: Booking - Whoever is booking the appointments needs to get their act together. Clearly, there is ZERO communication/ improper record keeping. Training - I get everyone starts off somewhere, which is why I am not including names, but why do I have to suffer with burns/ a damaged scalped?

I am beyond frustrated! My scalp hurts! I wanted to complain right then and there but I was extremely short on time, the stylist spoke very little english and honestly I was really annoyed. I’ve waited 2 months to write this review because I’ve been too heated and traumatized by what they did to me at this salon. DO NOT GO THIS SALON! I went in for a consultation, with a picture of what color I wanted. 2 stylists consulted together and told me I could achieve the color I showed them, and gave me an appointment for the following day. The day of my appointment, the stylist (Tara) did my hair. I specifically told her I like golden highlights, and I don’t give a rats a$$ if golden highlights are not “IN” anymore, I’m paying for a service and it’s what I wanted. But Tara took it upon herself to color my base ash brown (mind you, I wanted light golden hair) and give me whitish highlights!!! Not only that, my hair started falling off in chunks! Tara had the nerve to tell me she gave me those highlights because “golden” was not “in” anymore, and also gave me a horrible haircut to try and fix all the hair SHE damaged! I went in with a beautiful head of hair, and left the salon feeling and looking horrible, traumatized. On top of the lack of skills these stylists have, they have zero manners. They’re rude, loud, filthy (all their stations were disgusting, which was a big red flag I shouldn’t have ignored) and on top of that, Tara seems to be the manager, because the phone rang continuously and she kept stopping her work on me to answer the damn phone! There were 3 other stylists standing around doing nothing, but I guess they can’t answer a simple phone. The fact that this salon has so many “good” reviews was the reason I picked them, but it was a big mistake. I’m 100% sure the good reviews are paid for or from people who don’t mind...

My first visit I believe the owner let me finish taking out my braids and allowed me to keep my appointment. She did ask someone to help me but she really didn't do much to help. I received a deep conditioner and no one seemed to know what service I was there to receive. I eventually received my keratin treatment and a trim. Everyone spoke Spanish with the exception of the owner and the person who barely helped me with my braids. However, the stylist that helped me name was Gray. She was very nice but didn't speak English. At the end I like the results but paid far to much for the service. I paid $224. It would have been cheaper to get a relaxer. Anyway, I spoke to who I believe was the owner, she never told me her name, but we spoke about extensions for my wedding and hair color. Made an appointment for the following week for color and asked how much. She told me $75 to $80. Following week I returned for the color and paid over $120 . I was not planning that but glad I had the money. I want to return but don't want to because of the price changes. I was told the color was $80 and I got a blow dry so that was extra. Couldn't reconcile that because after getting the color it should be a given that your hair will be styled and dried. So I don't get that. I like when I ask how much I get the actual price so I can plan and have the money to pay. I also tipped both times to Gray and the first time to the lady that barely helped me. So Im on the fence about returning for the extensions ,color and blow. She told me 200 for the extensions but I think after everything it's going to be more money.
