Bruegger's Bagels — Restaurant in Coralville

The new system of ordering first then building is not going well. There is no signage for people to know they need to order first and no one stands at the register during peak times to manage the inflow of customers. Also, I build my own sandwich and have been here twice since the new system was implemented and they have yet to get my order right. I order then leave so there is no way to know until I open up your sandwich and find that it’s incorrect. Today when they did not make my sandwich correctly, the guy remade it, however if I was not standing there it still would not have been done correctly. Assuming this is because the person at the register did not enter my order correctly, she did mention she wasn’t sure how to enter my order since it wasn’t a normal menu order. Came in here for the first time today. I had no idea what to get, I explained it was my first time, and the staff didn't care to explain how things work, so I was cut off in line by someone who got their eggs before me. When I got to the cash register, I asked if I could get an iced coffee, I wanted one that wasn't iced too, but she immediately turns around and makes the iced coffee, I didn't want to be that guy that yells to the worker. So I waited until she came back, when I asked her again, she turned and rolled her eyes. I wanted to complain and tell her how crappy this experience was, and how bad their customer service was, and how I was the ONLY one to tip from all the people who cut in front of me. Wow! Was I impressed! Before I could finish paying for my two bagels, they were ready in a bag at the counter! The women taking my order at the register was friendly, repeated my order and told me on my rewards, I earned a free bagel with cream cheese. She asked me if I wanted to use it. She told me to have a great day and smiled! My Western Bagel was awesome. There was lots of veggies on it and the rest of the ingredients were great! I’ve experienced the highs and lows of this restaurant as I have been a frequent customer for years. Kudos to what you are doing today!
