Red Lobster — Restaurant in Coralville

My parents and I ate at Red Lobster, Iowa City, yesterday, 2/19. First of all the hostess was the MOST UNFRIENDLIEST person ever! All hostesses that we have ever had at Red Lobster's greet you upon arrival and when you leave? Thank you for coming. Not this one! Nothing! We arrived at 3:45. We left at 5:30. That was the longest time I have EVER sat at, at a Red Lobster! Water took about 10 min to get. Usually they bring you your biscuits right away. Not here. We waited a good 20 min for both. We came to the conclusion that maybe at that time of the day, you were short kitchen help? It was AT LEAST 45 min until we received our main entrees. I had walleye, my mom had Salor's Platter. My dad had shrimp lugini. My dad said the potato he ate from my mom's entree was not done. My potato was fine. For $16 fish dinner entrees you would think the fish portions would be larger? Not the case! The best thing we had was the $5.00 shrimp cocktail! How can you mess that up? Our bill came to $55 for the meals and the shrimp cocktail! It said to leave over $8 for a 15% tip. The waitress was not attentive and never did come ask how everything was. I've done waitressing work for 20 yrs. By far, the worst waitress ever! I told my dad, you don't get good, fast efficient service? No tip but still left that much! We weren't the only customers in this restaurant that were unhappy with wait staff, and how long it took to get our food, water, and water refills? My questions to you?

1. were you short on kitchen help at 3:45 and this is WHY we didn't leave until 5:30?
2. I never did see a manager as I was wanting to see one. Maybe you didn't have a manager on duty as all Red Lobsters I've been to? A manager stops by asking on how everything was? At that point and time I would have said my worst Red Lobster experience ever! We will never set foot on the Iowa City location again! Sad, as we need to return here in March and April. Could you please provide me with an email address or phone number on where I could vent my frustration with Corporate at this Red Lobster location? We have never had ANY issues with the Red Lobsters in Kearney, Grand Island or Lincoln, Nebraska locations. Sad, but it will be awhile before we eat again at ANY Red Lobsters. My dad and I both said at the same time going out the door: Worst Red lobster location, experience that we have ever had, EVER! People save your money! ...

Bought a while ago 20 of the $10 make a wish cards, told the waitress to give 10 of them away and kept 10, she said I can use more than one when I come back, she said you guys come here often will override the one time use per visit don’t worry, so we come one time and yes they did it, we came this evening and the one waitress that wasn’t as professional I told her to use the cards she said we can only use one, I asked her to ask her manager to override them she went back and came back to say he said the same thing and there is nothing g he can do, I was upset and asked her to ask the manager to come to the table, she said she’ll see if he has THE TIME!!! so after a few minutes he comes and tries to say it does say on the back one per use then he tells me after I showed him I was upset and this is what Susan the one I bought them cards from she said you can override and they did do them before and showed him the receipts from my email and we come very often after all that he started apologizing and said he is going back to see what he can do, he comes back to tell me he applied them and he wasn’t the waitress didn’t tell the truth to us and he wasn’t told to override, I felt he wasn’t saying the truth and I told him because of her and him this will be our last time to Red Lobster, love the food lives the other times we have been there but this...

I order more than $35.00 worth of food. What arrived was inexcusable! They cut all orders less than half and I still paid full price! They are using the Pandemic to take advantage of people by lining their pockets out of shear greed! when a person pays $22.00 for something, they expect to get what is literally written on the menu! NO! All seafood in my orders were less than 1/2 that was stated in their menu! This is illegal and considered price-gouging! Unless you like throwing away away money on food from a very dirsreputable money-grubbing corporation, then do not order form these crooks! Yes, they WILL be reported! If they do this to me who will take action by reporting them, how many hundreds, if not thousands of people have they stolen money from ........ that do not know their rights, are will willing to be taken advantage of and not do anything, or just do not have the courage or backbone to report them! The people are struggling during this pandemic... obviously this company is making a killing! And who knows how many millions they have already received from the government! DO NOT ORDER FORM THESE CROOKS UNLESS YOU REALIZE THAT WHAT YOU ORDERED WILL NOT BE WHAT YOU WILL BE GETTING. JUST BE AWARE THAT YOU ARE THROWING AWAY GOOD MONEY IF ORDER FROM THIS MUTI-BILLION DOLLAR...
