Poor stay in this hotel, even though we were there for only one night. 1) There was no cold water in the water lines: the taps in both the bathroom vanity and the shower ran hot (so that the range of water ran from warm to extremely hot). 2) There was no bar soap for the bathroom vanity. The front desk said the hotel had run out of it. Seriously? No bar soap?? 3) The cleaning staff must be using the wrong product on the tile floors of the guest rooms. The floor in the front area and bathroom was greasy (to the point of possibly causing guests to slip and fall). 4) At breakfast, which was otherwise fine, there was no water available; the beverage choices were juice, coffee, and milk, so that it was not possible to even request a small glass of water (and we asked both the breakfast staff person and the front desk attendant). 5) The view from our room was a short wall and rooftop drainage area over the lobby and registration area. Our assumption was that the hotel must be completely booked, and that this was the last room available. But then we noticed that the hotel appeared to be only 20-25% occupied. Why would registration even assign the very worst room in the house, when most of the property was empty? (And we'd booked a couple weeks in advance, to boot.) We've stayed in Fairfield Inns previously and had good experiences, but this was a...
Read moreWe arrived fairly late in the evening. The staff member who checked us in was a bit brusk, but our suite was spacious and quiet, with a comfortable bed and non-feather pillows (as requested). Staff the next day were very pleasant. However, within a minute of entering the room that evening, my nose just started running, and it continued for over an hour. This was definitely a surprise, as nothing like this has ever happened - my allergies to down usually results in red irritated eyes after a night's sleeping on down pillows, but nothing like this. After a long day's drive I was tired, so I just downed some antihistamines and NSAIDs, showered, and went to bed. The next day my wife woke up congested, and my sinuses were a bit raw. We checked out, continued on our way - I didn't think of mentioning anything to the front desk staff, mostly just wanted to leave and be on or way. But also, they didn't ask about our stay. The sinus issues resolved quickly, and did not return after more than a week of staying at hotels in other locations. Very odd, unsure about why...
Read moreFront desk staff at check in not super helpful did not know what they were doing beyond a normal check in. They did not know answers to questions or how to solve problems - at one time there were 3 people standing around a computer going I have no idea. also were eating snacks on the job. Internet was extremely slow, which did not help me in being able to do my work. The option to purchase a faster internet option as advertised on the Marriott app for this location was told by the front desk that it was not a option. My room was not cleaned or attended too during / in between my two day stay. so no fresh towels on day 2 or 3 - I should not have to ask for that at a Marriott property. Trash in the hallways outside multiple rooms for two days. Best part of the stay was the gentleman that took care of breakfast by himself. He was friendly and made sure everyone was taken care of. Overall the hotel was nice and convenient to where I needed to be and what I was doing but has a ways to go in customer service and...
