We came on a Tuesday, close to 5 pm to beat any crowds (surely they would have crowds as good as the food and service is). We took advantage of the Tuesday special of a 3-topping large pizza for $12 (can't beat the price). We had pepperoni, mushroom, and onion. Last time I had the sausage instead of the pepperoni, but thought I'd get more flavor this time. It was the perfect amount of toppings, and the thinner crust held it well, and was crispy on the outside, and chewy, as it should be. We also got a little greedy and had the spinach manicotti (of course, that meant leftover pizza). The manicotti took a little longer, but came out piping hot in a little crockery boat, was cheesy, flavorful, and the mozzarella and ricotta cheese was awesome! Speaking of awesome, our server was Maddie (she said I could use her name), and she has the perfect, bubbly, friendly, and engaging personality for this type of job (service these days normally leaves something to be desired; she even played along with my dad jokes). Good server! I had a Greenman Porter beer, and my wife had her go-to beer, Blue Moon. Mine was perfect for the acidic sauces. This was our second time here since moving to Martin (a 40-minute drive, and worth it). We highly recommend AJ's. (The only comment my wife made, as we sat peacefully on the outside patio, was that the music would have been better as authentic Italian, so we could be mentally transported to those areas we visited in Italy). Cost for everything was around $38 (Wow!), and we left Maddie a generous tip because she was worth it!

First time here, I work just right down the road. I sat down at the bar and placed an order to go. My waitress gave me a drink while waiting for my food to be prepped, I thought that was awesome. They had trivia playing on the TV, I enjoyed testing my trivial knowledge while waiting. The staff was awesome. I ordered meat tortellini and asked them to change the sauce to alfredo if they could, no problem there. I also added a side salad as well. Wait time was approx. 15 mins, I didn't mind! I believe that's a reasonable time. I had an hour lunch break. Wait time here is a lot faster than next-door that I had tried the previous day. I got back to the office to unfold the dish prepared, and it was nice and hot. The garlic knots were great, just a tad more oiled up than I'd personally prefer, but it's bread and I can't resist. The tortellini was even better, I'll probably ask for more sauce and less cheese next time. The romaine lettuce was a little wilted, but still had a decent crunch, not bad at all. I will definitely be coming back and hopefully have a sit down rather than just take out next time. Again, the staff was great, I enjoyed waiting for my food to be prepped. Thanks for a great lunch!

Tonight my daughter treated us a family of 6 to dinner, when we went in we were told to seat ourself which we did. There were only 5 other tables with guests and a family of 4 at the bar, most already had their apps food or salads. Our waiter was a young tall slim male. He came and got our drink order and got our appetizers order, he brought our drinks and took our orders, meanwhile 5 more small tables were seated, 40 minutes go by no appetizers or salads, we see people that came in after us getting theirs, we only had 3 salads and 2 garlic knots with marinara, and mozzarella sticks so finally our mozzarellasticks come and 1 order of the garlic knots and there bith cold like they were just sitting up there waiting to be picked up, so one of my daughters finally after 40 minutes and cold apps no even all the apps t goes up and speaks directly to Andre the owner and tells him how long we've waited, he looked at the cashier and told her to have a talk with the waiter and she came back to our table and apologized for our waiter and said fresh garlic knots would be sent out, so that was suppose to make it ok, meanwhile our food and salads are brought to us at the same time, then the garlic knots, then the waiter comes back to the table and says is everyone on the same ticket we said yes, he brings the bill, after being there for over an hour close to an hour and a half we're still charged the full ticket, not saying it should be free by any means but discounted yes, had Andre been at the register it would have been, especially when the last time we were there and were treated the same way except we ordered wings x 3 and they were so burnt we couldn't eat them but we had again waited 45 minutes for our order, andre wasn't there that night but I did call and tell him the next day and he said next time you come I'll make it right, well tonight was the next time. Sorry Andre but it didnt get any better. We just wanted to get our salads and appetizers together and shouldn't have had to ask for them. And the lady at the register apologizing for our waiter like he was swamped wasnt true either because the little female waitress had way more tables and was running circles around him. I don't want anyone else to be disappointed like we were...

I had gotten off a 12 hour shift and was already tired and me and my husband have been getting to go orders for a very long time never had an issue with our food. We decide to dine in for once and we had sat down and the table had to be cleaned off that wasn’t an issue for us at all but we start off by ordering our soda drinks and than we decided what we wanted to eat placed a order we got ceaser salad and wings and pizza and we had our son with us and he got the spaghetti. Well me and my husband asked another server which later I found out is the OWNER Daughter!!! I asked could we please get another dressing for our salad and I was told that she had to take care of her tables I only asked because I didn’t see our server…. I was very upset at that response cause she could have said it in a different way and been more polite about it! Well than I notice that she is drinking beer in the back and at the front where the bar is now mind you she’s working and drinking on the job whether you are the owner Duaghter or not you were on the clock working that was very unprofessional to me because one it’s a place I have seen family’s dine in with children now I get if they were an actual bar Bar it be okay but not to be a bar and a restaurant!!! I called back the next day to explain my concerns and just acted like she didn’t even care! The food was fantastic but the service sucked and their attitude did as well also my son spaghetti was the very last thing to come out why idk I was upset about that too… kids food should always come out first no matter what! I’ve worked in restaurants before I came a nurse - I hope this issue is addressed cause if not I will take this higher up than just the owners because she shouldn’t have been drinking while working and that’s what you represent when you work you need to be polite and...
