If I could give this place zero stars I certainly would. My 94 year old dad bought a cell phone in this store about 2 months ago. It has not worked correctly since day one. His calls go straight to voicemail. He and a caregiver have carried the phone up there numerous times. But I guess because of his age they would never take him serious. The last time a woman just deleted the VM’s like we couldn’t do that. I took him up there Saturday and we saw a young man first who was no help at all. Just wanted to do the turn it off and back on trick, then say it was working, hand us a brochure to call Verizon. He asked daddy who he saw last, again my dad is 94, but no one could get that through their head. He asked him what color of hair she had, like he is going to remember that. We left and I called the caregiver and she described the person he saw to a t. Her name was CeeCee, I believe. She was in there listening as we were talking to the boy, but never spoke up. We had to wait on her for over 40 minutes while she was talking to another customer about investing money. When we did talk to her she said she did remember waiting on daddy and wiping out the VMs. They kept telling us there was nothing we could do about the phone because it wasn’t brought back within the 14 days. When I questioned her that it had been, that he had been there 2 or 3 times with problems and no one offered a new phone. She then denied waiting on him even though she previously admitted it. She said that he never asked for a new phone when he came in or they would have given him one. Again I said he’s 94, he didn’t know to asked, why didn’t you offer him one. Then she said, was he by himself. Made me furious, because a caregiver was with him. He has a walker and can’t see or hear well and she had the gall to say something like that. Then she gave me the number to call Verizon and told me it was better to do it at home, because it would take a long time. I said no we are going to sit right here and call. Instead of helping me through this process she sat there on her phone not paying us any attention. We got no where that day, but since we finally talked to someone at Verizon who has helped us and they sent us to Commerce where they were very nice and helpful and put in a new SIM card. We will see if this works. The bottom line is that this Cornelia store is the worse customer service I have ever had. They do not care about the customers and their problems at all. They should be ashamed of how they treated a 94 year old WWII Veteran. The citizens of Cornelia and surrounding counties should be appalled at this store. I will never set foot in there again and I will tell everyone I know to go to Commerce or Gainesville where you can be treated like a customer should be. Was told I would receive the entire $650 offer due to the condition of the trade in, etc. I asked what I needed to do to make sure that I received the $200 giftcard from Verizon since the $450 was broken down over a 2 year period. I was told by the sales lady (who is of course no longer employed there) that they would handle everything and that I needed to do nothing on my end. The system would generate everything and I should receive the giftcard in the mail in 6-8 weeks. No problem, so I thought. As time went by, I never received the card. Found out that I apparently needed to fill out papers and submit within 30 days of sale myself to get the giftcard. Not what I was told of course. Called up to the store, talked to someone there, and was told basically I was out of luck and that she would make sure that the employees there would be better trained so that it didn't happen again, to someone else. Which was myself he made every attempt to make sure I received exactly what needed in a retail phone service company. I could have not found a better sales clerk than this young man. He went above and beyond what would be expected of just everyday customer service. Talking about encores service this is what I received art Verizon location with this clerk. It was one of the best examples of dedication I have ever experienced. Not only did he get me the best deals to suit my need. But we ran into some difficulties during my change over and he stayed right by me until each thing was solved . He stayed even after hours to make sure I left verizon totally equipped with all services I would need for my situation. I can say each represntive from Christopher to phone reps was an amazing experience. I am proud to be with this great company and what it represents .
