If you are looking for a quiet relaxing massage, this is not the place. My "therapist" was obviously being taught on the job and had no formal training. The owner/manager came into the room several times to talk to the therapist and do things like put a bolster under my ankles when my "therapist" forgot that the ankles needed support.. The owner/manager was right outside of my room looking in and talking loudly the WHOLE time!!! I paid extra for coconut oil and I did not smell any coconut on me when I left. Even where they did not wipe the oil off on my arms, there was no scent of the upgrade oil. If you are modest, bring your own linen. The draping they had was a small 3x3 piece of cloth that was super thin and did not really make me feel covered. The therapist I got, worked across the spine! This is a NO NO!!! And she had no real plan. A little here, a little there and back again to an area already done. Shoulders, legs, and then back to shoulders. The stretching was sometimes just one sided. I am a retired professionally trained therapist, practicing for over 30 years. I have received massages all over this planet. I know what good is and this is not it. And the place, itself smells bad. Like food stuffs or kimchi. I only came in because the reviews were mostly good. Makes me wonder about the reviews. I will...
Read moreCame in for a massage while in the area one afternoon even though I did not have an appointment they were able to see me right away. Place was fairly new so everything appeared nice and clean.
About halfway through my massage another customer came in. His name was Larry. How did I know his name? Because Larry talked very loud and insisted on carrying on a conversation with the 2 girls that were at the front desk which included how to spell his name. Larry rode to the area on his motorcycle and was staying at the Baymont Hotel next door. Larry also liked hard candy and had to try one of every type that they had in a bowl on front desk and give his thoughts on each one before he was taken to his own room for a massage. Of course he continued talking once his own massage had started. I finally looked up at my therapist and asked âis anyone going to tell that guy to shut upâ? She laughed but she didnât make any attempt to leave the room to talk to her co workers about it. Obviously Larry was completely ignorant to spa / massage etiquette but even so one of the other employees should have asked him to keep his voice down while there was another customer already there.
The massage itself was great but Larry completely tarnished the...
Read moreMy amazing husband surprised me by scheduling a massage at this place. He checked prices and read the reviews. He saw that someone posted that they up charge for coconut oil so he gave me enough cash for the massage, coconut oil and a generous tip. First of all, I didnât like how the place smelled. Second of all, the massage was EXTREMELY painful. I have never experienced anything like it and told her multiple times that she was hurting me. She just chuckled and continued to dig her elbows into me. She didnât ask what oil I wanted and just said âI do coconut oil for youâ. I was extremely nauseous and hurting so bad when I was checking out that I didnât even care that because they charged more than expected even with the up charge that it only left a $5 tip out of the cash my husband gave me. The 3 women in the front all started talking and stopped me and told me âmore tipâ. đĄ Never again will I...
