I wish I could give two different reviews for drive thru and front counter. Day shift drive thru is world class. The three young men that regularly work the window and take orders consistently perform with alacrity, competence, and friendliness. They keep the line moving and consistently make the product correctly. The team that does drive thru, I hope, receives the appreciation they deserve because when they are on duty this Starbucks is the best I have ever visited.
Now, front counter is another matter entirely. Regardless of if it is day or night shift those on front counter take a very long time to make a simple blonde roast coffee--and sometimes not to specifications, despite the fact that they have significantly less pressure than the drive thru. This evening was perhaps the most frustrating. The young man on front counter had no cordiality and rang up my coffee incorrectly, which would not have really bothered me except that he had no real interest in providing even a modicum of customer service. When I asked for cream from another individual I was given almost a full small cup, which struck me as astonishingly wasteful. Also, the moderately loud pop music is not what one expects from a Starbucks. After years of getting my āicedā drinks with no ice, just filled with milk, theyāre now saying itās company policy to not do that? I would think a multi billion dollar company could spare 2oz of milk like they have been. Today I asked for a decaf grande iced pumpkin spice latte with no ice, no whipped cream. They always, for years, fill it with milk. Not only did they not do that, she asked if I wanted milk on the side. Sure I said. She was going to charge me $4 for some milk?!?! Thatās more than a gallon at the store. They also in fact did not give me decaf like I ordered. I am pregnant and have a heart condition that prevents me from drinking caffeine. Had I not looked at the cup to double check, I would have assumed they gave me what I asked for. Now I have to pour this $6 drink down the drain. However 4 out of the 5 mornings a week my iced coffee is made completely wrong. I donāt understand how hard it can be to make something wrong that is ordered specifically. I literally add one additional syrup to my iced coffee. This Starbucks definitely does not compare to the one inside ingles where my drink is made perfect every time . The hours at this location have been all over the place. So factoring in they canāt make a drink and arenāt open the same hours daily is going to kill this business. I am not the only one complaining i have heard it from numerous people and coworkers they get more messed up drinks and coffee than ones made correctly. Maybe take the time to train your staff to make what is ordered or just how to make the normal menu items...
