Bruster's Real Ice Cream — Restaurant in Cornelius

Used to love this right up until maybe two weeks ago. I would get a couple cones a week, I'd always get the small waffle cone and it would be plenty ice cream. Up until two weeks ago they shrunk the waffle cone size and the ice cream portion size. When I first got it I said to myself "is this a sugar cone, oh well they must have new cones for the small, that's ok." Until I got my next cone and ordered the more expensive regular size, only to find out that they use the same tiny thin wispy cone for that but just slab more ice cream on top! It made such a mess and in no way contained the ice cream. I asked the lady if they changed cones and she says "nope sure haven't" in the worst tone and then after that she said " well I wouldn't know, i haven't worked here a long time" what a word class response and a way to treat a customer! So here I am covered in ice cream in my car and disrespected. I won't be back. Kilwins...

The ice cream is bland. Most flavors seem to have a dash of the actual flavor you have requested. The vanilla has no true vanilla flavor. Maybe it doesn’t have enough fat within the recipe? I’m not sure. I ordered two scoops of birthday cake and two scoops of cookie dough. What I received was 4 scoops of vanilla with a small piece of blue (birthday cake) and literally one piece of cookie dough. The French fries are so soggy and full of oil that they leave a pool of oil at the bottom of the bag. Also, for a to-go order common sense should tell you to put utensils and napkins in the bag. The Oreo cheesecake tasted like whip cream flavor. Did not taste like real ice cream. Lo and behold, it made me do a #2 just like having a cup full of whip cream would do. I will also add that no matter how much ice cream I have, I never do a #2. It made me question the company name as to why they have to specify that it's "real" ice cream. Maybe it was just the flavor but this was probably the worst ice cream of tried. I came from Chicago and even the worst ice cream there tastes good.
