Incredible!! This is my husband and my first time visiting Rise Café and I was impressed!!
The atmosphere is clean, calm, peaceful, quaint and filled with solace!!!
The food was delicious😋!! I had the junkyard breakfast item and WOW!! I had 3 fried eggs, bacon, sausage, jalapeño, onions, peppers, salsa, sausage gravy, over a bed of freshly made hash browns, and 2 pieces of sourdough bread🤤!!!! I also had a scrumptious cup of Mosaic coffee and I was like, yes and thank you😙☕️! I am also a coffee connoisseur and drink my coffee black. My taste buds was overjoyed😛!!!
At first, when we receive our food, I looked at my bowl and was like, “this is a “healthy” portion size; lol, but can I tell you I was FULL when it was all said and done😌?! Just for context, I LOVE food; kind of like, “my eyes are bigger than my stomach kind of LOVE🤪,” so when I say it was good, the portion size was perfect and it was filling because I was struggling to eat the last 2 bites, I mean it, okkurrr🫰🏾!!!
My husband had the liver mush, homefries, 2 fried eggs and fluffy buttery white toast. He ate all but about 1/2 of his food! I ended up eating his toast, because I can be a greedy something🫣🫥🤭!!!
Lastly, in conjunction with the incredible, scrumptious food and coffee we had today was the finest opportunity in meeting Mia and Meek (the chef)!! Mia is a sweetheart! She is kind, beautiful, personable, patient, smart, fun, loving and has a sweet spirit and beautiful smile! She provided exceptional service not only to us, but to everyone in the restaurant.
Meek is cool, chill, an amazing chef, handsome, humble, personable and has a sweet spirit as well!! He blessed our stomachs and hearts this morning; he cooked with love and it certainly made an outstanding impression💞!! We’ll be back for lunch...
Read moreFirst and foremost I wish I wasn’t writing this review because I think the foundation of this business wouldn’t intend for the level of service we just got.
Came here for the second time with my wife and kids. We remembered last time it took a while to get our food but we still gave it another try.
This time, again, food took a while, my youngest son’s kids pancake came out about 5 minutes after everyone else’s. Not the biggest deal.
I ordered a “premium grilled cheese” it came out with two slices of cheese and maybe a 1/4 cup of shredded cheese, none of which was melted. Didn’t feel like it was very premium and it didn’t taste good. I politely told the server who was the manager as well. She took it and left the tiny portion of fries it comes with the sandwich. She did ask if I wanted something else. I did decline as I didn’t want to wait another 20 minutes for another dish.
After that, she didn’t return. My family went the rest of the meal needing drink refills. It happens I understand.
She finally returned with the bill and told me she removed my meal. I thought that was a nice gesture even though I did only take a single bite. I look at the bill. She took off the $12 grilled cheese and added $4 fries.
I think that was petty and unprofessional. I don’t see a reason to come here when you have a chance to wait for a while after you order, food is 2/5 stars and the manager probably shouldn’t be in a decision making role that is meant to retain customers because she certainly drove us away.
I genuinely hope this feedback is taken into consideration as I see the owner frequently...
Read moreCame here with friends around brunch time on a Saturday, we tried to be understanding since that's surely a busy hour but the whole experience left a lot to be desired. Once we were seated we waited 15 minutes just to order drinks, since apparently no one had told our server our (outdoor) table had been seated. My friends got $6 mochas that tasted like milk, barely any chocolate and no coffee flavor at all. The food took another 40 minutes to arrive, when it did my sandwich came without fries (the waitstaff said the fries were being cooked but they just wanted to get something to us since we'd been waiting so long, which was much appreciated but still a glaring issue) and both my friends' meals were room temperature. My friend who ordered chicken and waffles told one of the servers who offered to make a new one, though she seemed entirely unsurprised, like this happens a lot. Waited 15+ minutes for the new plate to come out, and when it did the chicken was burn-your-tongue hot but the waffles were still only warm, like they'd been sitting a while (when I later went to use the bathroom I overheard two kitchen staff complaining about not having a heat lamp, which explained a lot). The only bright spot on the whole experience were the front of house staff, who were all lovely. In the time we were there we heard two other tables complaining to staff as well, and I felt terrible for the poor servers getting hammered for issues that weren't at all their fault. Still, I wouldn't choose to waste 2 hours of my...
