Took my soon-to-be kindergartner son here during our OBX vacation and we had a BALL! The staff made us feel so welcome, equipped, and supported every step of the way.
We did the first level course and I opted to proceed to the upper levels, but it was a seamless process and very flexible once you’re through ground school and the basics. The surrounding activities and lawn games were awesome, too! We enjoyed the hand-dipped ice cream (not freezer burn popsicles you might expect at other places) and the beverage selection is impressive/much appreciated after an intense climbing session.
We loved exploring the photos from our visit and the staff even took the time to find one that had gone missing in the digital library, and sent it to me the next day. They have tablets where you can peruse or purchase whichever images you’d like via email.
Pro tips: bring your own water bottle and leave it at the lower level of the course. Dress lightly and tightly so you don’t have baggy clothes blowing in the wind or knocking you off balance. Loved the NO CELL PHONES policy to ensure everyone is present and focused, but take a group picture either before or after from the grounds looking up - it is such an impressive structure, and I realized I didn’t snap any photos of it and could only find past years’ obstacles (it seems they update the courses slightly over seasons, which is a good thing) to share on social media, etc. tagging them.
Overall, just an amazing day at CAP! Can’t...
Read moreMy family and I had an AWESOME experience at CAP. We were in Corolla for our family beach trip and brought 7 kids ranging from 4 - 14. The staff was EXTREMELY helpful and explained all of the safety protocols and rules of the rope park very clearly. ALL staff were awesome with the little kids and helped them out when needed. The kids had SO much fun climbing around the various different lines they have set up. Our 4 year old had the time of his life and was able to enjoy the beginner course, which is equally as awesome as all other courses. Our teenage kids loved it all as they were challenged by some of the obstacles! The setup for spectators was GREAT! So many areas to watch the climbers and take pictures. They also had ping pong, corn hole, a playground and other various activities and seating for people who just wanted to watch. Concessions were also available at reasonable prices. Climb time was PERFECT at 2hrs. The kids came down from the course worn out. Adults can also have a blast here too. The facility was VERY clean and customer service was next level from all employees. Also. All of the harnesses and safety gear looked very well taken care of and all safety protocols were enforced. Very safe feeling at all times. I would recommend this to all families visiting Corolla or Duck area. 10 stars. Everyone had an awesome time and created great memories. Thank you Corolla Adventure Park Staff. See...
Read moreThis place is awesome! One of the highlights of our vacation. The staff are super friendly, knowledgeable and patient. The process to check in and learn how to use the equipment was done in a way that went quickly but was informative and engaging, even for my 7 and 11 year old boys. There are 4 levels of difficulty, part of our family made it up to the 3rd level, none of us made it to level 4, just because level 3 provided plenty of challenges that tested our bravery when it came to heights. Harnesses and equipment were clean and well cared for. Everything worked well and we felt very safe the entire time, allowing us to try things beyond our initial comfort zone, making for a memorable experience. Book an early time slot to avoid as much traffic as you can, the road up to Corolla from Nag's Head was slow moving with bumper to bumper traffic. Also, definitely bring or be prepared to purchase water. It's hot, even if you go first thing in the morning as we did. They did a great job spreading folks out so you never waited very long to get onto or off of an obstacle. You do have to depend on their cameras to get pictures, which was hit or miss for us. It depended on how well your helmet sensor was working, we ended up with a ton of pictures of our youngest son and only two of our oldest. The ice cream afterward is well worth the stop on the way out too. Highly recommend this activity if you're...
