6/24/24 @7am, (order #2746) was the last time i will purchase anything from 85*C degrees. I ordered 4 large grapefruit teas. I purchased 2 add-ins in each drink (crystal boba and aloe in each tea) and I asked for NO ICE, which I have gotten MANY times before (im a regular there early mornings on weekends). When I got the drinks, all 4 were almost full, but not all the way. Not the way they are usually served when I have ordered in the past. I waited and spoke to the girl who rang me up who was now making drinks (white or hispanic, early 30's, thin, light comlexion, brown eyes, glasses ,and blue hair). I asked her why the cups were not full. She said that "the recipe accounts for ice." and that I had said no ice, then she said, "sorry". In my head, I wanted to make a scene! I payed over 20$ for drinks and a pastry, and the drinks were not even full. I felt ripped off! I was thinking, "I payed for extra add-ins. Did you account for the space that those took in the cup (crystal boba, aloe)? No, right!! The drink did not include those, did they? Yet, there they are! Also, does the recipe call for filthy hands? Because you rang me up, collected money at the register from other people after me (and who knows who she helped before me), and u failed to wash your hands before going to help make drinks (which is common practice there. Not just her. And by law, you are supposed to do when you handle food and drink). Are filthy hands and food-borne illnesses part of the tea drinking experience?" I dont wanna sound petty, or make a "Karen" out of myself, but its the principle. She could have made it right, but did not! I didn't ask for anything for free! I just wanted it done right. The way it had been done on my many visits prior to today. My drink order never wavers, but the quantity does.
Well, sadly now, I will not be returning! I would be afraid of them spitting phlegm into my order if I returned (btw, i was embarrassed to deliver these drinks to my coworkers since they were almost full and frankly, suspicious looking. Like I had drank from them or like the tea was old and part of it had dissipated with the heat). Oh well, I hope posting this makes me feel better because I vented. If it doesn't, im gonna call the store and tell them about...
Read moreI often go here to pick up my favorite pastries and tiramisu slices with friendly cashiers until today. The cashier I got today was anything but friendly. As usual, I checked what cakes are available and today my favorite tiramisu selections are available. No one was in line, so I walked up to the cashier, ordered a slice of classic tiramisu and a slice of cheesecake tiramisu, she immediately responded with we don't have any, so I said, I just checked before I got in line and it's there, so she said ok. I told her that it is not a good service that you tell the customer no we don't have any without even checking. She responded with you don't have to be mean about it. What???? At this point, I am pissed but because she seems to be a little older so I'm just gonna let it go. After she rang up all of the items, I saw the lemon brioche on the screen so I said it's not lemon that I wanted, so she said I know my products. I asked her to remove the lemon because I didn't want it. This is when she walked away and told another cashier to come to help me, I can hear she telling a guy by the pastries area "can you help her before I get mad!!!!". What????? I should have walked away at this time but I didn't, because I wasn't about to let an untrained cashier to ruin my morning. So this more familiar face cashier guy came over to finish up my order. I asked him to remind the cashier to check items availability first before telling customers no there's not any. As any trained, friendly servers would be, he apologized and said that he would let the manager know. I hope the manager sees this comment and provide better training, especially to the new cashiers to always check the items availability before you just casually tell a...
Read moreTruly enjoy this bakery. Not what you expect of a typical bakery. This business offers a variety of baked goods, both sweet, savory, and spicy. They have a small sandwich selection though it's on a first come first served basis, and if stock runs out, it's gone. Additionally they have beverages ranging from hot tea, to various Boba teas, smoothies, Vietnamese coffee drink which is actually quite strong. My personal favorite of these would have to be the Caramel Coffee Smoothie, a deliciously blended Smoothie reminiscent of a frappe. For bakery items, I recommend the bacon and cheese roll thing, and my favorite...I don't remember the name, but it is a soft roll, open hole in the center with cream filling and a fine dusting of powdered sugar. So yummy.
Prices are fair, most items on average are between $ 2.50 to$ 3.99, this is not including the fancy cakes, and beverages run around $5-$7. Occasional wait to pay for goods, and drinks can take several minutes on a busier day. Extremely limited seating, I believe maybe 4 small tables each seating 2-4, and unfortunately, a friend I frequently meet there experienced one if the chair legs breaking and splintering her leg while also causing her to fall onto the floor! That was actually our first coffee trip together! All in all it's got a unique selection of delicious foods, some decent beverages and fair prices. I'd recommend for sure.
Oh one last thing, I do reccommend getting the app from the play store and registering. This will allow you discounted prices I think. Finally...
