Boba Fiend Tea House — Restaurant in Corona

PSA: THIS PLACE OVERCHARGES. CHECK YOUR CREDIT CARD STATEMENTS PEOPLE!!

I would give this sketchy place -10 stars if I could. Visited this location early afternoon, noone was in the shop and the workers were chatting amongst themselves and ignored us even when we were at the register. Finally a girl with an attitude took our order.

They were "out of the fiend size company wide" lol time to change the company name then Drinks were watered down and sickly sweet. Absolutely no tea taste and boba was old and nasty. Gross! After taking the order the girl hands me the receipt me saying "I'm just going to need the tip on the top receipt" before turning around and resuming to chat with the other workers

Eww?! Who ASKS for tip like that?? Whatever. I still tipped the girl and swore to myself I would never come back.

Today I receive my credit card statement in the mail and found that they OVERCHARGED ME. Apparently they decided to add in cents themselves. Wonder how many other people they've done this to. BEWARE!!

Hope the 28 cents...

Boba Fiend Tea House, at 2276 Griffin Way Suite 105 in Corona, was inspected Feb. 3 by the Riverside County Department of Environmental Health and received a failing grade of 80/B with one critical violation, for food-contact surfaces not being clean. An employee was preparing tea and boba in the sink meant for warewashing, dish soap and sponges were in the sink meant for handwashing and dishes weren’t being washed properly even though staff had been told in multiple previous inspections how to wash dishes and to keep handwashing and warewashing in their designated sinks. Among the 12 lesser violations — many of which were listed as chronically repeated — there were rodent droppings by the water heater, but no other signs of vermin. My FAVORITE Boba Tea shop is back!! I’m so excited!! Because of issues with the property leasing company the business was closed for a while. But they got it sorted out and are back open!!

This place may not have as many tables as other places but their tea is my absolute favorite! If you haven’t tried it yet, you need to! I’ve met the owner who is super friendly and really takes his business and customers seriously! It’s not someplace you would find just driving down the street, you have to look for it, it’s in the Joann’s Shopping center. It will be well worth your time to check it out!
