Babas Boba & Mochi Donuts — Restaurant in Corona

I came with a friend on a whim craving some late night boba nearby and saw this place listed despite never seeing it prior. We came in an hour before closing and despite their cleaning they still greeted us with a smile and kindness!

Upon ordering our drinks and waiting the owner talked to us. He told us that the shop had only recently opened about 6 weeks ago and ran us through their menu and best sellers.

He provided us with mochi donuts on the house for us to try. I tried a Churro mochi donut and despite not being a mochidonut kind of guy I still enjoyed it. The consistency of the donut was so chewy and bouncy and the flavors were good. I took some home and my sister enjoyed a Ube Mochi donut that was given to me. She said it was better than mochinut, so I guess that's a stamp of approval.

He then gave us samples of their gelato and I instinctively let out an "oh my god". I had a coconut gelato sample and it's genuinely so good. It was so creamy and flavorful and melted in your mouth I finished the sample so fast because I wanted more.

Their tea is also incredible. It was so rich and creamy definitely one of the best coconut milk teas I've had. The boba consistency is just right, personally I prefer it to be sweeter however as their brown sugar boba, despite their perfect consistency, wasn't overpoweringly sweet like I enjoy. My friend got their house tea and loved it. He told us that the teas are made with non dairy milk so lactose intolerants rejoice!

Overall it was a very nice and kind experience with good food and drinks. I definitely will be coming...

my cousin sent me a tiktok of “baba” doing an advertisement for this and i was so entertained. we came in for the mochi donuts and the vibes are cute. there’s like a bench kind of long booth with no table inside so it’s really a take out place. maybe they’ll add little tables. the service is so kind and patient and helpful. i dropped one in the parking lot barely walking out and they replaced it no charge. we did the buy two get one free promo they had last week (idk how long it’s going on forgot to ask). we got dubai chocolate, biscoff, and lemon. shocking but the lemon one was our favorite. it’s like the perfect sour sweet ratio. dubai chocolate with the strawberries was a nice addition. biscoff is so sweet but i love lotus and love that they put a literal frosted cookie. the mochi donuts are SO FRESH. i could not believe how light and airy they were. get more than one because they’re not heavy at all. they sell them in singles which is great because MochiNut that sells them minimum of 3 is so annoying. i want to try their drinks and boba next time. specifically the rose flavor. loved the decor and loved that you could see staff baking back there as you order. i hope this place becomes so big they have to relocate or open more locations because genuinely it’s the best donut i’ve ever had. and im not a donut or dessert person. i just love a “baba” attempting tiktoks...
