Bill Miller BBQ — Restaurant in Corpus Christi

Really a 4 1/2 stars! Just ate at any Bill Miller for first time since moving to Corpus Christi. Good serving size for amount of money. Loved the coleslaw and potato salad. The brisket was moist and flavorful. The only reason I couldn’t say I loved the green beans was they were in the strangest sauce and I’ve probably had green beans fixed 100 different ways. The BBQ sauce was way too sweet for me but acceptable flavor ( I prefer a more peppery sauce). The reason for the missing 1/2 star was due to the strange way my inside to go order was handled. Since I had never been to this chain before I wanted to see what the real meats and sides looked like. We have all seen the highly perfect pictures of menu items only to get something unrecognizable after ordering. That wasn’t the case. After seeing the line I asked the server to just make my to go- she eyed me and said- “pay for it first and then we will make your order “. Strange as the register was only 12 feet from me and the man behind me just had 2 brisket tacos wrapped in foil made and a side packaged and handed to him. I paid and instead of just picking up a container which was close by and putting my order together. The cash register person handed me the sales slip handed me my ice tea and said wait over there while the backside of restaurant where the drive through was made my food and then brought it out to register area!!! Bizarre!!! And I’ve lived or been stationed in the Army in 13 states and 3 countries!!! What a waste of time and energy. But the food was good enough I definitely am coming back when I can...

We went to this location , stood in line and ordered our food . The only thing i ever eat at Bill Miller's is the poor boy sausage + dry no sauce and fries and Tea. So as we are waiting in line I see the guy cutting the sausage and it was 2 small links, so he makes my poor boy and hands it the girl to give me. I told the girl that the poor boy was made incorrect and the guy was looking at me like I was crazy. I said....that's not a poor boy +...it's all i ever order from yall and this is not correct. They had to get a manager involved and finally got my order. I was not happy at this point...Then I walk into the bathroom and it was disgusting...floors and walls with grime all over the place. This was not something I am used to seeing at Bill Millers. Then while we are eating im looking around and I look up at the ceiling and there was black mold growing on the ceiling all over the place !! Terrible...Terrible... Terrible.... I took pictures and im going to send it the Health Department so they can evaluate this...

Sadly my Corpus folks... This particular facility has a slab of sloppy characters working the drive through.. This will be the 4 time I've been interrupted while ordering and speaking at the cashier counter not to mention Incomplete orders and skimpy requests . 3 of the ,4 times the same heavy duty didn't even give us what we asked for. It didn't make any kind of dent to put the same type girls working salad bar area to prepare for drive through either. They all pretended to not see me at the window waiting . Which I didn't mind I can wait patiently for as many request I may think of. Management should really consider people who are there to serve customers. Ready to supply whatever we request. Don't like your job go fetch another one where people aren't made to feel bothersome to ask what we are paying for. Mistakes are made but geez too often...
