TLDR: I am leaving a bad review because working here was a horrible experience and the food is meh anyways too.

Unfortunately I don’t think that I’ve ever worked at a place that discouraged me as a server as much as this place had. I’m not really the type of person to be so petty as to leave a negative review for a place that I’ve worked at before, but I feel as though this would help me move on from Cheddar’s.

If you are considering to work here as a server I’ve included a few reasons as to why there are so many better places to go… To begin, the management, specifically Mark and Juan both have treated me indifferently since I transferred to this location from where I had came from. Their only concern only ever seems to be about how much money their making or the restaurant, and not about how their own employees are doing. There are countless times that I remember coworkers who have now resigned with the company that they also experience similar conditions as I did.

It’s truly disappointing to see someone such as Mark, who runs the store, to care so less about his team members that he doesn’t have a soft spot for. If I have any pet peeve in the serving industry, it’s managers who pick favorites and makes exemptions towards those that he deems to be more worthy. We have a kiosk survey system in place where guests are allowed to leave reviews on their servers and those reviews should be listened to and heard.

My girlfriend and I both worked at this location, and I understand that there are couples who do not work well together or may impact each other’s performances… this was not the case for us. Regardless, both Mark and Juan were insistent on scheduling us at different times, and made sure to pull my girlfriend aside to tell her that she works much better without with me. Keep in mind that the majority of our coworkers disagreed, and even see us helping each other rather than keeping us from doing our work. We live approximately 30 minutes away from here and need schedules that at least make sense, rather than having one of us work in the morning and other at night… When originally hired, they didn’t have a problem with us working together, but then suddenly sprung it on us and explained that it was because we work better independently than together.

We have both now found better jobs that accommodates our needs, as well as better management. Don’t let these two clowns tell you your worth when they barely even know what they’re talking...

Hi, former regular here! In 2022 I was obsessed with this place. "Cheddars has consistently good chicken and it's really the only place I know I can rely on to give me good food and service!" Is what I would've said last year. New management I guess? I can tell that they're being cheap, it's very obvious. Let's go through my experience with what WAS my favorite restaurant today. While ordering my food (chicken strips) I was told there was no honey mustard, forgivable though, it happens. Honey butter croissants come out, just last year they had a nice icing with a slight hint of honey. For a while now those croissants have tasted ONLY like honey, the icing taste is gone and it's not the perfect balance it used to be. The croissants where also given to us by another person, who was not our waitress, and the way she did it felt... rude. Food comes out, I could tell that my chicken was not as hot as it usually is. After nearly finishing one strip, it was already cold, I thought they'd be fine without honey mustard, but nope. It didn't feel worth it to eat cold, tasteless chicken. After finishing, we waited for a long time and tried to make it clear that we were done. Eventually our waitress shows up, and we order a monster cookie. I overhear our waitress telling another table that they didn't have any baked potatoes done.. AT 11:40?? START MAKING THEM EARLY SO YOU CAN FULFILL ORDERS AT OPENING TIME. Anyways, monster cookie comes.. where's the cookie? Isn't it meant to be shared? We where given two spoons but both of us only got 2-3 bites of extremely thin cookie. 90% of it was whipped cream and ice cream, last year it had a thick, soft cookie, and you could actually SEE it under the ice cream. Last year the employees were so nice, I was so happy to see some of them when I came here. They were GOOD at their jobs. Did they all get fired? All of the employees now are faces I don't recognize, they are rude and I rarely saw our waitress. Didn't even get a friendly greeting. To the new manager(s), I'm disappointed. In just a year I saw this place go from absolutely amazing to what it was today, each time I come here now it only gets worse. I think most of this is because of cheapness. Great job slowly (or quickly) ruining a great restaurant. One of your employees looks homeless by the way :) same guy who was blocking traffic by sweeping the...

Before I share my review just wanted to say my experiences at other Cheddars were phenomenal! However, the Corpus Christi location on July 10th was a complete disaster. My in-laws invite my wife, son, and me to an evening dinner at this particular location. We all arrived at the same time and were seated at the same time. Our waiter came by to take our drink orders a bit longer than expected. We placed an order for drinks and an appetizer. Few minutes later we get our drinks but no appetizer. He comes back to give us refills but no appetizer. Fast forward almost an hour later our food comes out (no appetizer yet). Everyone gets their meal except myself. The waiter says and I quote, "it's taking longer than usual due to the spices". So we ask what had happened to our appetizer that we ordered he panics and goes back into kitchen. At this point my family is nearly finished with their food. My father in law asks for manager up front. Here's the kicker; the manager said that the waiter advised her that I came in later than the rest of the party!? She said I was the reason why my food was late (even though we have yet to receive our appetizer at this point and have yet to see my plate that was ordered with the rest of the party at the same time)! Almost two hours later from the time we stepped into this establishment my food finally arrives! Granted the manager apologized brought us our appetizer and didn't charge me for my plate and discounted a few other plates. We still left a tip for the manager. I told the manager near the entrance where the fish tank is found there are 2 cameras she can review (since the waiter wants to lie about what really happened). I've contacted corporate about my experience and have only received a generic response back (Thank you for contacting Cheddar’s Guest Relations.  We have received your comments. We will forward them on to the appropriate person and they will respond to you as soon a possible. Thank you for taking time to share your comments and for choosing Cheddar’s.). Definitely don't ever plan to ever go back to that particular location. If you've taken the time to read this review and found it helpful please hit that like button and share. Hopefully this will bring some positive changes for my family to go back and enjoy their...

Since Darden took over cheddars the quality in their food, service and atmosphere has declined over the years. I feel confident in saying that only because I was once an employee, and the quality from then to now does not compare. Back then the onion rings actually looked like the picture. Food looked appetizing and tasted fresh, delicious. The service is terrible, always slow, always delayed, the orders are always wrong, there is always some sort of miscommunication. The atmosphere is dirty, especially the bar area. The drinks are not as good as they used to be either and the only thing that seems to be increasing imare the prices. I've given this place one too many chances and just continue to be disappointed and unsatisfied with all of it. Today my spouse and I ordered the Dijon chicken and I had the buffalo chicken wrapper grilled, with red beans and rice. It was a curbside order. The order was brought out to us, but my order was missing. My husband got off to retrieve our missing item which defeats the purpose of curbside. He was offered a desert as a courtesy, which we appreciate. After getting home to eat our meal my wrapper was dry, no buffalo sauce, no ranch & barely any chicken. The wrap itself was stale and not even grilled. Personally I feel that a buff wrap is one of the easiest items on the menu but somehow cheddars never fails to mess it up. The croissant that came with the meal was hard, dry and crunchy. They no longer care about quality, or presentation. This has been my experience each time I decide to visit this establishment but today was the final straw. If you enjoy eating here I hope you never have a bad experience such as me and my family have.

Got there at 5:30, place was not busy but we're told we had to wait (we were a party of 3) because they had no servers. Okay, no big deal. Ordered my usual Monty Cristo sandwich and a salad with blue cheese on the side to be brought out together. After maybe 10 minutes my sandwich comes out and it didnt look right, the powdered sugar looked weird, so I grab it and dunk it in the raspberry sauce and bite I have the worst sensation in my mouth, I quickly wave the waitress over and ask what is sprinkled on top, she says powdered sugar, I said nope, that's baking soda. She takes it back to her manager. I decide to dig into my salad, if under the glaring light I see a hair in my salad and even worse it looked like a pube. That was it, I had lost my appetite. Aside from all the damn flies and my daughter kept saying buggy, my sandwich was a mess and now my salad had a freakin pube. Ugh! The manager finally comes around to talk to me about the sandwich and confirms it was baking soda and them making a fresh one I said I've already lost my appetite, there's what looks to be a pubic hair in my salad, he says ma'am I don't think that's what it is. I said look at it, short, curly and coarse, that's not head hair. He said what do you want to do, I would like to make things right. Long story short, he gave me 2 fresh sandwiches and comped our meal. I ate one sandwich and am now home with stomach pains, vomiting and diarrhea. I love Cheddars, but this is by far the worst experience ever. I have included a picture of my salad and a zoom in of it.
