Red Lobster still has a long way to go. Stopped here while on vacation randomly. First thing you notice when walking in is the smell of pee/urine. The entire place reeks of old pee, dank, with a hint of mold mixed with gym sneaker insoles. No one was at the hostess podium so the bartender saw and seated us. First impression after being seated (and while walking to the table) the entire establishment needs a deep cleaning. The menus were sticky with food on them; reading other reviews some mentioned the appearance of roaches. . . I didn't see any but you can tell one was waiting to emerge. Waitress, disheveled, had a slight odor, and the worst breath possible on a human. The food: don't order anything lobster, they are frozen, tough, dry, and the smallest tails you will ever see. I've seen crawfish bigger. The famous cheddar biscuits, old and hard as a rock. Fish and Chips, don't get this, unless you like 10% fish, 90% batter. The safe bet is to order something with shrimp or a pasta. Any efforts the new CEO is trying to make to revive this icon of a restaurant will fail if local owners don't put the work in. You know it smells like pee, you know there is a cleniness issue, you know the decor is circa 1994 and attractive to no one under 50. . .address it. Baby boomers, memories and good feelings won't save Red Lobster. The two stars are for the effort from the staff and the balanced dirty martini (total shocker the martini was even done right). This location is not the Red Lobster you are looking for.

I don't know what it is about chain restaurants these days. Maybe it's just the restaurants in Corpus Christi, but it seems like quality has really just been going downhill. My wife and I went out for dinner and were looking forward to Red Lobster because we hadn't been in a while. I ordered the fish and chips and she ordered the seaside shrimp trio. I order fish and chips from a lot of restaurants and I can tell you I've never seen it prepared like I did here. It was one piece of fish with about 3/4 of an inch of breading. See the pictures for the aftermath. My wife had the plain mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli sides for her meal. When they brought out her food, they completely for the broccoli and we had to ask for it again. When they finally did bring it out, she said it tasted like they had just pulled it out of the freezer and thrown it in the microwave. My wife also ordered a blended margarita, but the ice pieces were so big she couldn't even drink half of it. To top it all off, when the check came we see that they charged us for the loaded topping on my wife's mashed potatoes even though she ordered and received plain. I'm super disappointed and we probably won't be going back. Which is unfortunate because it's one of our old favorites. Oh well, at least they have good biscuits, I guess.

Today, 08/22/25, I went to eat with my family. The service was not very pleasant, starting with the fact that I ordered coconut shrimp. When I asked for the extra, which cost $5, the waitress told me it was too late to order, leaving me wanting what I wanted. My family ordered Caesar salads with chicken, one of which came out with a hair in it, and the chicken was raw and didn't have croutons. When I told the waitress that the chicken was raw, she took it to the kitchen and it came back overcooked and fried. I think it's poor service on the part of the waitress and the kitchen to bring out a plate in this condition. Don't even think the restaurant was full if there were really only 7 tables in a room that could fit more than 30 tables. Being such a well-known restaurant, serving these conditions is not acceptable to me. I do not recommend this location and would not return.

My wife and I used to work at Red lobster when we were 18 before we were married back in 2006 and we’ve been going here off and on since then. We go every a few times every few years because apparently we have to be reminded exactly why we stop going each time. We don’t really like eating inside any restaurants anymore so we order to-go 99% of the time which is what we did at red lobster 3 times in the past few months. The food is good enough but the service is bad each and every time. The first time they forget my fried shrimp. I tell them they forgot and they want to argue and say we put exactly what’s on the ticket. Then I have to show them the ticket to prove them wrong. Then it ends up when I get home I find out they forgot the baked potatoes as well. The second time they forgot the condiments and lemons and plastic ware. The Caesar salad which is usually one of the highlights was inedible bc it was drowning in so much dressing. Tonight, I ordered online and I received a notification that the order was ready after 30 minutes. I went to the restaurant and was greeted by the hostess but when I went to the to-go counter I was greeted like usual, with silence and no acknowledgement. I asked for my food after 10 minutes of it being ready and just got a “we’re really busy” response. There were barely any people there as we were there an hour before closing on a Sunday. The second time I asked it had been 30 minutes after the food was ready (one hour after ordering) the unhelpful bartender just said “I don’t know the name”. So I told him and he came back and said, you guessed it “were just really busy”. The manager came out 10 minutes after that and I told her it been over an hour since I ordered and she said they’re bagging it now. Five more minutes pass and i let the bartender know that I don’t want the food and I left. Like I said, I worked at Red Lobster and in the food industry for the first few years of my working life so I know how busy it can be and how, no matter what, there will be unhappy customers. But 3x in a row of unhelpful, unfriendly (sometimes just rude), and just plain bad service is not a fluke and I’ve already had enough this time around. See you in another 3 years for them cheddar bay biscuits Red Lobster 👋 Tldr: Red Lobster has good food sometimes but the service(and sometimes food for the price) is...

I’ve been to many Red Lobster restaurants, and I had not had any issues before, until now. After they sat us down and the waitress came over, I had a feeling that we were going to have a bad experience. The waitress was loud, obnoxious, and overbearing. She became annoyed when my wife asked for a small change on the Seafood platter, that both of us were ordering. She said, with an annoyed voice, “we don’t do that here”. To drink, I ordered something that I had not ordered before, a “Caramel dream”, and my wife ordered a sweet tea. The “Caramel dream”, which is an alcoholic drink, was served in a tall, skinny glass. The glass was filled up to the top with ice. Without exaggeration, I finished the drink in two, small sips. I’m 62 years old, and I’ve probably complained about an order 3 or 4 times before. But filling a glass full of ice with very little alcohol, and whatever else they put in, and charging $10.99 for it, is absolutely ridiculous. I immediately waved at the waitress to come over, and explained to her what happened. Again, she seemed annoyed that I was complaining, and said that if I didn’t like something that she must bring over the manager. She said, with an attitude, “I’m only a waitress”. When the manager came over and I told her that the glass was full of ice, and that I had finished the drink in two sips, she said, “that’s how the drink is made, and nobody has complained until now”. I said, “really, you just can’t remove some of the ice and redo the drink”? She said, with an attitude, “no, that’s how the drink is made”. Instead of telling me that she wasn’t going to charge me, or at least offering to give me a discount, she said, “that’s how the drink is made, and you’re going to have to pay for it.” I was so angry that I told her to “get the hell out of here.” We still had not received our food yet, so I just paid for the drink and the iced tea, and left. Neither the waitress, nor the manager should work in this type of industry again. Both of them are horrible at their...

Haven't been to Red Lobster in over 20 years and after this experience don't plan to ever go back. First sign I should have turned around and left was the smell. The smell of sour cleaning water. Maybe 6 people eating as we walked in just after 3pm on Thursday. But ended up being seated at a dirty table. Waitress apologized for the dirty table. We order a wine and a beer with 2 waters. We get the wine fairly quick, but beer comes out after 5 minutes (apology for beer taking long). But we did get one straw, not sure what for, since we never received our waters. We both decide to order the all you can eat shrimp, but the shrimp size was extremely small and the only shrimp that had any kind of flavor was the shrimp scampi. As we finished the first plate, I ordered the scampi. This order came out 15 minutes later. Waitress apologized for the time it took to "prepare". Mind you, now there is only two couples eating in the restaurant now. Gf orders another scampi as I'm getting my plate. Another 15 possibly 20 minutes goes by, the she receives her plate. Another apology. Beginning to think Red Lobster trains their staff on "taking your time" or stalling on all customer orders involving All You Can Eat orders so customers get "full" and won't eat as much. Also training on constantly "apologizing". To me, this is a refection and fault of the managers. With only 6 customers to serve during this time, there should have been employees cleaning tables, floors, windows, etc. I'm sure there were employees in the back just messing around, talking, not working. Take pride in your restaurant. I'd be embarrassed to say Iwork at this location. Lost a...
