Every time I step into this TJ Maxx, I find myself greeted not by the thrill of bargain hunting, but by an incredibly long line that often wraps around the entire store. It's disheartening to see fellow customers asking each other, "Is there a sale going on?" The reality is that there usually isn't a special sale; the long wait is simply the result of poor staffing at the registers.
During my recent visit, I noticed that only three registers were open, which seems inadequate for the volume of shoppers. This lack of efficiency turns a potentially enjoyable shopping experience into a frustrating ordeal. I witnessed several customers, myself included, who opted to leave the store rather than wait in line for what felt like an eternity. It’s a shame, as TJ Maxx offers a fantastic selection of products at great prices, but the long wait times detract significantly from the overall experience.
In today's retail environment, where convenience is key, I can't help but think that introducing self-checkout options would be a beneficial move for TJ Maxx. Not only would it alleviate the pressure on the limited staff, but it would also enhance the shopping experience for customers who are eager to make their purchases and move on.
In conclusion, while TJ Maxx has a lot to offer in terms of products, the long checkout lines and limited registers create a frustrating atmosphere that could easily deter customers from returning. Until these issues are addressed, I find it hard to recommend the store wholeheartedly. It’s a missed opportunity for a retailer that could otherwise thrive on its appealing inventory and...
Read moreLove shopping at tj. Never had any issues in Oklahoma. But multiple here in CC. First, i found this beautiful clearance huge lantern (glass was broken on one side) with red tag. As i continue to shop i found the identical item. I asked the cashier why the broken one cost more than the one that has no damage/broken. Second event, i found this beautiful medium size white planter. It cost more than the other 2 larger size. Employee(s) doing the price sticker should be more pay attention when they put the price tag on their items. Either TJ Maxx is ripping people off to those who doesn't pay attention on the items or the employee just not doing the proper procedure of price tagging the items. Today 2/1/2020, i went shop. I saw this medium canvas with a regular price $24.99 with a red tag $12. I was happy, loved it and i took. Until i get to the register then the cashier scanned it and told me it's not on sale for $12. I told her what? She didn't even investigate if it was the right price. All she did was asking me if i still want it ($24?) I told her no. I grabbed it its because i seen a red tag for $12. Anyways, just a piece of advise, be careful on what you buy at this TJ Maxx. Pay attention on the prices. Make sure identical items should be the same price and not different prices. Or just because it's a smaller item it cost more. It's very disappointing shopping at...
Read moreThe store shopping experience was nice and neat. Well stocked merchandise and found a lot of cool things. The wife bought a potato light and it's so cute. However, you may see that I left off two stars... The checkout process was dismally slow. Me and the wife looked over at the registers and there were two cashiers just talking to each other and not helping the line that went almost past the queue. Line didn't move an inch within five minutes. They've got twelve checkout lanes and only three workers were checking people out. Would probably shop here again. But please tell your workers to not strike up conversations with one another when a line that almost extends past the queue starts forming. Unacceptable.
Lowering my review down a star for the lack of caring and for the lack of efficiency from the cashiers. They seem to just be there to get paid. Not even fast at all. There's no reason why three cashiers cannot keep up with a line. Have had to walk out of this place twice because of the fact that there's a long line that reaches the T.J. Maxx side's doors. Hire more cashiers that care and get more staff because I never see any...
