Desserted Island 2 — Restaurant in Corpus Christi

Desserted Island is just a couple of minutes from where we were staying and it did not disappoint. The staff was polite and efficient. My husband got a Key Lime sundae, I got a warm brownie sundae, my 12 year old son got a strawberry and banana shake and my 5 year old son got a cup of Dutch chocolate ice cream. All of it was delicious, but the sundaes deserve special mention. The Key Lime sundae was essentially Key Lime pie in ice cream form — SO GOOD! The warm brownie sundae was also excellent, with a generous portion of brownie and ice cream plus whipped cream, hot fudge, peanuts and a cherry on top. The shop has different rooms with fun and eclectic decor, and my kids just loved looking around and playing tic tac toe while we ate. We’ll definitely return when we come back...

I never leave reviews. This ice cream shop refused to give samples and when asked about what candy was in the ice cream they couldn’t even tell me. He assured me that he has tried the ice cream and it was good…but I haven’t so I am not buying ice cream I don’t know if I like or not… They were also rude about not giving samples - which lead to this review. Then after being rude he asked for a tip! Also, you have to pay with cash or Venmo. The decor is neat but the service will keep us from returning. And not giving samples may have saved them 20 cents but it cost them the...

It's all about the vibes. Suuuuuper cute icecream hangout....this is what local is all about. I've always seen the Desserted punny sign and finally decided to actually try it out. Much larger than expected with a lot of cute spaces to eat your ice cream. We just got scoops of ice cream to go on the way back from the beach, but next time going to try that Brownie sundae for sure. I'll note, luckily I was with someone who carries cash, because it appears they are a cash only facility at the moment. I didn't ask what that was about, but there are signs eeeeeverywhere...
