My boyfriend and I LOVE Freddy’s, we always used to go in San Antonio and so we were super excited to see Corpus getting one. The first couple of weeks we waited a long time in line in the drive thru, which was understandable because it was fairly new and always crowded. Now Freddy’s has been up and running for a little while longer and I swear even when there’s no line at all, we wait for about 30 minutes. The line in the drive thru moves SO SLOW and every single time we finally get up the window, it takes about 3 minutes before they even open the window and acknowledge us. We wait at the window for about 5-10 minutes total on average. We’ve had experiences where we’re waiting and the employees working the window stop to talk to the car in front of us, as well as times where when we’ve actually been at the window and look inside the restaurant, all we see is just a bunch of employees standing around laughing and talking to each other. I don’t understand how it takes 15-30 minutes to have food ready in the drive thru with all of those employees working... but then again all they ever do is sit around and talk or laugh so maybe that’s why. I’m giving this location 2 stars solely for the food and custard which are both delicious, however the staff and service is not good enough to keep us coming back as regular customers. If employees could actually tend to us and talk to US, the customers, at the window instead of to each other, maybe our food would actually get to us in a timely manner. Other than that, food and...
Read moreI spend good money at this restaurant atleast once a week since it’s my family’s favorite burger place, but after my recent experience I will never go back and if you’re reading this you might want to spend your money elsewhere. The service is completely unhelpful and unprofessional. They wouldn’t offer a refund after I drove from almost an hour away after not receiving part of my order. They have no communication within this place because it was not an issue with a burger, I never received my food at all and they will not offer my money back for something I didn’t receive, which to me is basically stealing from me. Not to mention the burgers we did receive were all made incorrect for my picky eaters. They ought to be ashamed of themselves. Customer service should be number one to running a successful business and this obviously is something they seriously lack. This is the reason Corpus cannot have anything nice. For over priced, bland burgers if I pay for something I expect to receive just that. Not this run around and offer a free custard instead of my refund when it was their mistake to begin with. The General Manager even accused me of LYING and offered nothing to resolve except their disgusting food. I just wanted a simple refund, but these greedy people can’t offer that after all they’re making off of us. They can Keep the that money and shove it!! I will never spend another cent of my hard earned money on this place and no one should. They won’t make it in Corpus with...
Read moreDisappointed! As a long lost Chicagoan, I was looking forward to a Chicago Dog with real Vienna Beef red hots. When I heard Freddy's had them I couldn't wait to try my first dog in ages. It was our initial visit to Freddy's and we ordered online for pickup.
But, [Gasp!], it is not possible to order a Chicago Dog using their online ordering system! I tried to piece one together by additions to the regular hot dog, but, alas, sport peppers and celery salt are not available. These are required elements.
Ultimately. I assumed this location did not offer Chicago Dogs and settled on a double cheeseburger. My son, who was also disappointed ordered a chili cheese dog. We added fries, rings, and 2 chocolate malts
Imagine our surprise when we drove up to Freddy's to pick up our order and saw CHICAGO DOGS in big red letters on the side of the restaurant. As it turns out, they DO have them, but for some reason, they aren't available for pickup through their online system.
The food we had was great. We l Ioved the crispy, thin fries. The malts were a treat. The patties of the cheeseburger had a delicious caramelization. My son's chili dog had generous portions of chili and cheese with that luscious Vienna Beef wiener. Both had tasty, fresh buns. I'd give it five stars, but it wasn't what we wanted. We wanted Chicago Dogs.
Come on guys, fix...
