Texas Toyz — Local services in Corpus Christi

It is unfortunate that I have to leave this review, as this is somewhere I have purchased MANY funko pops from, but my interaction in the store today couldn't go unaddressed.

First off, I always appreciate the very wide selection of Funko's offered at this location, I have filled more than three of their "punchcards" with the amount of Funkos I have purchased. The taller younger gentleman that stocks the inventory has always been extremely helpful and knowledgable (I would give him 5 stars for his service and the one star here is for him) but today I had the unfortunate experience of interacting with who I would assume is one of the owners of the store.

I asked the simple question if it would be possible to check the accuracy of the current listed price on a Funko as it seemed to be a lower price online (a question that the younger employee has assisted me with on numerous occasions happily), in which he responded with a tone of annoyance towards my question and proceeded to say "really dude it's only $10", followed by obvious frustration with my question he went on to say "I swear I am about to quit". His tone and demeanor was blatantly rude and unprofessional and I ultimately wish I would have not gone through with my purchase.

I am saddened to say that I will no longer be purchasing my Funkos at this store, and after reading other reviews I would not be the first to leave for the same reason. I truly hope ownership would take a note from their great employee (younger gentleman I referenced) and apply his same helpful attitude and enthusiasm to their own...

I would have to say this was a pretty amazing store tons and tons of all your favorite toys. Great selection of pops probably one of the biggest I have seen at any store it made me feel like I was at a Comic-Con. Great collection of comic books pops comic posters and lots of other stuff in this area of expertise. We went there looking for certain pops and was not disappointed in their amazing selection. I will have to say I did not give them a five-star rating because some of the prices seemed like they were higher than book value I understand people want to make money but in my opinion you have retail value collector's value and then in some cases a higher by a lot higher than collectible value. Other than that I would have to say this store was definitely a solid 80 a great store so for that I gave it four stars. Because I read a lot of stores five stars is difficult to achieve in my opinion. Last note I will say it was a little bit disorganized but I think a lot of that has to do with so many people going in and picking up stuff and just putting it down somewhere else when they change their mind it is hard to maintain order when you have that much of a selection. By far like I said the largest selection anywhere so for that definitely an A+ on the selection I don't care what you're looking for they...

Texas Toyz is a great store for anyone that is into movies, superheroes, anime, pretty much anything pop culture in the entertainment industry like musicians, movie stars, and video game characters. The store has tons of Funko Pops, figures, plushies, croc charms and other accessories. If you have some rare items that you would like to sell, the workers I assume the owner will be reasonable with you and help you sell your items by buying from you and giving you cash for it. The only thing I don’t like is how extremely crowded the store can be especially on the weekends. Sometimes it’s hard to move due to how crowded the store is with so many customers. Other than that I recommend anyone to go shop on a week day so you have time and space to shop. It would be really cool if Texas Toyz opened a second store because Corpus Christi is growing really fast. Thank you for being awesome and kind to me and my boyfriend. Yall are nice to us.
