This place has been on my go-to list for months and I'm so glad I finally got to swing in to check out this local business. Located in downtown Corpus Christi, it was excellent for a Sunday lunch. Walking up, the owners immediately greeted me and my family and passed out samples of fresh homemade barbacoa boudin stuffed sausage. It was awesome, never had anything like it, so already i was damn impressed. We got settled in and ordered from the classic bus window. We split a few orders of Pork ribs, smoked barbacoa, and coleslaw. Which came out within a few short minutes with a side of BBQ sauce, bread, pickles, onions, and piping hot corn tortillas. The food was presented very nicely with good portion sizing. As we started eating my wife who isn't often into BBQ, immediately told me how much she enjoyed the ribs, specifically the bark. I can't remember the last time I've had such a clean tasting rack of ribs. Paired with the BBQ sauce It had me doin a double take. Very tender and full of tang, hint of smokey sweetness, and a whole lot of savory flavors. I couldn't help but think, could get a gallon of that BBQ sauce to go home with? It was that tasty, then trying the barbacoa, that sent me for another loop. How'd they get such a great bark on that too? I've never had smoked barbacoa where every single bite hit the spot. Like little golden nuggets it was juicy and not overly fatty and tons of flavor. Coleslaw was excellent as well, I loved how light and tangy it was on a hot summer day. Was a great refresher. The owner immediately visited us and asked if he could get us anything and how we were enjoying the food. The flavor combo was off the charts I had to tell him. Got to meet his family as they walked around checking on customers. Top notch service, excellent vibes, and epic flavors. I'm sad I haven't visited them sooner! They told me they've only been open a year and a half and I saw they've already won multiple awards. So Y'all gotta check this spot out ASAP. Don't need to travel all the way to the hill country for great BBQ, they serving it hot over in downtown Corpus. Thanks again y'all for making us feel at home...
Read morefull send barbecue? Where to start? I’ve been a fan of their food for years now. When they were pushing out of Vernon’s it was always my after work specialty, going to enjoy some amazing bbq while having a cold beer. When they would have their pop ups out the goldfish, I was blessed to have a roommate who’d scoop up some birria tacos and bring them to me to work! Their brisket grilled cheese will always be a top favorite! Along side their brisket Mac and cheese sliders 🤌🏽 the LOVE they put into their meals is full send ! While I was pregnant, all I craved was their meat and their game changer mac and cheese AND THEIR AVOCADO SALSA. Andrew and Des are such a power couple. They’ve proven their passion, and I’ve truly felt blessed getting to know them and following them on their journey. I cannot wait to see how more they flourish, and I cannot wait to take my daughter and have her try their food for...
Read moreWas searching for great bbq in Corpus area due to my job shipping me to Corpus for work. Co workers put me on to this place and I was beyond impressed. Didn’t know they were food truck and learn last minute they are only open on the weekends. Waited all week to try them. By the time I got there I was able to purchase the last Dino rib, pound of brisket, green beans and elote “af” pasta. The ribs were Dino like described, well seasoned, and tender. I didn’t need the bbq sauce. (Sold per rib) Brisket was well seasoned also, moist, and melt in your mouth good. ( sold by 1/2 pound) Green beans taste delicious. They were seasoned all the way through and flavorful with every bite. Elote “af” pasta was different for me but good. If you like Mexican corn this is just that with added pasta. It’s not a cheap eat but...
