I read the menu online and the "Chicago - style stuffed pizza with thick crust" was all I could think about. Having experienced this in Chicago at places like Gino's and Uno's, my expectations were high. Panjo's came through with flying colors. We got the Maui Jo's Hawaiian and OMG they made it great. They started our visit off right with the friendliest staff who really pay attention to the customers. Even though this is counter service, the guy listened to our questions and fully engaged in answering them, not just providing lip service you might get at a chain store. He explained that it takes about 45 minutes to cook, because it has "pounds" more ingredients than the thin crust equivalents. While waiting, we pondered this explanation, and came to an agreement that it probably does weigh "pounds more.". It did take about 45 minutes, and it was so stuffed and heavy it definitely weighs "pounds more." It was very reminiscent of stuffed Chicago Style pizza, and very delicious. Panjo's was recommended to me by a local, and now I too am a fan! If you're contemplating whether to get a Large or a Giant, the large is probably enough, but the Giant is only about $3 more so it seems like the better deal.

I absolutely LOVE Panjo’s Pizza. The first time I went there was over 40 years ago! My father got the VERY FIRST pizza out of their, then new, pizza oven. The oven now serves as a pizza pan storage space. He popped in and asked when they’d be opening. He said they had not yet hooked up the beer taps, they were just about to make a pizza for the first time. They asked my dad what he wanted and they made their FIRST of hundreds and thousands of mushroom and black olive pizzas! I remember singing along side the “Piano-Man” that wore a red and white candy striped jacket and corn husk hat. He gave us kids peppermints for joining in. I don’t live in Corpus Christi anymore, but when I visit, I make a beeline straight to Panjo’s Pizza! It’s amazing that the large wood furnishings are the SAME! It’s amazing to realize I’ve sat at those same exact tables over 40 years ago! Going to Panjo’s is like visiting my old neighborhood. Here’s me passing on the tradition of eating the best pizza in the world! And YES, I feel that way about the ORIGINAL thin crispy crust. Panjo’s has it first!

I’m here from out of town and was referred by a friend to come try the best pizza in Texas. Pizza was ok until I flipped it over. Pizza had a weird taste, I couldn’t figure out why, back of pizza was coated with black burned grease 1/5, wings good 4/5, service horrible 1/5 female at the front counter needs a better attitude, needs to smile, and be more friendly, seems like she was trying hurry and get through her shift, I think the pizza makers were too. When I get to my car, I realize there is old pizza grease and crumbs all over my pizza box and wings container. Glad I didn’t set the box down on my new 2024 vehicle. Not very impressed with service. Maybe they need more help. Lots of customers in dining area, who seem to really enjoy Panjos.

I’m so sad. This is our annual stop during our family trip from Lubbock. We were so excited to take our grandkids with us to show them the pizza parlor that their grandpa went to as a kid. We ordered a works and a large pepperoni, our grand babies favorite. When the pizza came out the bottom of our crust was hard as a rock and BLACK!!!! Half of each pizza was black on the bottom the other half was hard and dark dark brown. I ate what I could and my husband scraped off the toppings. Then I looked over at my grandson and saw that he had taken off all of the pepperoni! He said it tasted weird…he’s 12 and loves pizza. I felt so bad about our highly anticipated, awesome Panjos was awful!

I moved to Corpus Christi from San Antonio in 1995..... I'd never heard of Panjo's the whole time I've been here. Then, someone brought several Panjo's pizzas (a variety of different ones) to the hospital where I work. Initially, I didn't give a thought until I tasted my first slice (meat lovers), and then I asked "where is this from?" PANJO'S... well here we are, and this place is the great. The place is old, and that's because they've lasted the test of time. The pizzas are on point! (I lived in Chicago, New York, Pennsylvania, ect. NE USA). THIS PIZZA , and the whole menu is Great!. My first visit, and I'm impressed beyond expectations!
