I went to this place with the Mrs and my 2 kids. When first walking in we were greeted by a fountain like we were headed to a banquet or something. Inside, they have a hibachi grill, which we didn't even try (no room), sushi bar, dessert bar, salad bar and about 6 hot bars for selection of anything from Italian to Chinese. There was this one dish called beef pie which was basically like a brisket in a fried shell. I know, it sounds awesome and it was the highlight of our table. Even my 18 mo old couldn't get enough of it. There was also a good selection of seafood, which shouldn't be a surprise since we're near the gulf but regardless was great, especially the flounder. So why the 4 stars you ask? First of all, for me to rate a place with 5 stars would mean it was exceptional up and down the line and all boxes checked. Unfortunately, I can't say that for this place. The water was OK, tasted slightly funny, like it needed better filtering or something. Another minor complaint is they charged full price for our 11 yr old which most places that I know give you til 12. Speaking of the 11 yr old, she said one of the bathroom toilets wasn't working and another needed to be cleaned out. This is a major oversight to me especially in a busy establishment as this. Another minor gripe was some plates weren't cleaned thoroughly, which wasn't too big of a deal because we just picked the next one. Again, these were just minor complaints to prevent me from rating it perfectly. However, the major boxes were checked: taste; check. variety; check. price; check. sushi; check. Ambiance and other things like that shouldn't matter at a buffet. I'm not sure why some other reviewers have such a bad score, which is mainly why I'm reviewing because I don't do it often. This place was so good to us my daughter mentioned coming back to Corpus just for this place. And that's saying something because we...

I don't mean any disrespect... but I went to this place after reading the Good reviews...i ate modestly... though I could have eaten more because the food was good I decided to pay and leave... once I came to the hotel that I'm at,....all night despite being tired...I couldn't sleep... from 1am to now 8am in the morning I have been up...I tossed and turned all night... feeling nauseous... eventually I had loose bowels...& at times feeling like I had to vomit... I didn't eat anything else that day to say it wasn't this place .. the only place I ate was here... and as I type this review in the bathroom... just from the way I feel... also paying for a hotel, And yet I haven't slept allllllll night..I would be scared to eat here again based on how I'm feeling right now...my stomach won't rest.. and it's doing its own thing... and I can only wait until I pass it out of my system.. so I don't know what happened to the food...or if they're taking short cuts in the kitchen and sanitary process. I hope to God nothing is spoiled and still being cooked and served..I know with many cooks may hurry to complete dishes, are more likely to rush and become careless in the kitchen... not washing hands ect... not throwing away old food, but reserving it.. but we the customers end up sick.. paying for that....beware if you eat here!!!!....it hurts your reviews... every bad review equals = about 100 to 500 customers which equals money......so management if you see this.. you better pay attention to sanitation of the kitchen and quality of the food being served.. because I can't see myself ever eating here again..... and though I warn people.. this hurts the reputation of your business... so...

Avoid the food poisoning, honestly. SMELLY, Rotten shrimp. Not just bad but ROTTEN. I fish a lot, and those shrimp smelled worse than day old bait.

Used to love this place. Ever since moving to CC over 2 yrs ago I've been at this place at least once every 2 weeks. And unfortunately the food quality went slowly declining. We ignored it a first because it's the only place of it's sort here in Corpus. First it was a ball of hair in the ice cream, then some bad watermelon and stuff of the sort. But today I have to put my foot down, hopefully this review saves someone else from an awful nausea and churned stomach . The salt and pepper shrimp (the only thing I eat here) were awful. Literally decomposing. We informed the waiter, who upon smelling the food immediately went to get a lady. We had already served our plates and while waiting for her, my husband and son picked at their food. Honestly we had mostly lost our appetites. The waiter noticed this and even asked us if we really wanted to keep eating, we said 'no' and he left again. The woman finally arrived and immediately said that she would not do any discounts because we already had started our plates and drinks. I already felt like throwing up and wanted to get out of there. Her solution to making us sick was discounting one dinner and one drink. I preferred to avoid a scene and just payed $30 so I could get out of there. It's been hours and I still feel sick to my stomach. The worst part is that they didn't even remove the tray of shrimp from the buffet. WILL NOT...

Hibachi Grill Supreme Buffet is quite the fancy name, and that's about the only thing that's really "fancy" here. Yes, they have a huge selection of buffet items, and ask patrons to wear a disposable glove when serving themselves. The quality of the items is barely three stars, however. Freshness and crispness suffer immensely. They should eliminate 30-50% of the items and focus on quality. Rotate items periodically throughout the month for variety instead of having everything so-so all the time. One adult buffet and a soda is priced at just about $20. Add tip and you're well over $20, per person - for blah food. You can get a really nice, fresh seafood dinner in Corpus for that price, with table service. I wouldn't call the staff rude, but I wouldn't call them friendly either. A little friendly greeting or thanks would go a long way. Hopefully this feedback and that of others can help them improve.

It has beautiful Asian inspired decor, but the staff is pretty rude. I asked for a booth but the man seating people was on his phone and didn't hear me. When we got to the table he wanted me to sit at I again asked for a booth. He seemed frustrated and hung up his phone and brought me to a booth. Nobody ever greeted me and the lady clearing plates just took my plates without asking if I was finished with them or saying anything really. Some of the food that was supposed to be hot was lukewarm at best, the place where you can make a plate for them to cook had burned my plate. The sushi is nice, and the rolls are really good. I doubt I'll be back anytime soon.
