My wife and I like to try new restaurants when we hear about them. We heard about Ridley's and look them up on line, they looked great. We were excited to go try them out. Until we got there, from the start it went south. We walked in and asked for a booth that was open in the main room. The hostess put us in the back by ourselves in huge table meant for a large group. As we sat down another couple came and asked for the same booth and were seated promptly. You have to ask was it the way we were dressed or the way we looked? When the waitress showed up she took our drink orders and when she returned with our drinks she took our food order. My wife had the Frittata I had the Smoked Pit Ham Bennie. When I ordered mine I asked could they include a side of hashbrowns. She told me that earlier in the morning they were out of hashbrowns and she would check. When she never returned with an answer and we still had our menus, I finally asked her did they have the hashbrowns? She responded to me by saying "for future reference if I don't come back we have them". WOW! When they brought our food the presentation was nice, except for little square of hashbrowns which were a deep brown color almost black. My wife's food was hot, mine was cold. When our waitress came by and asked how our food was I said my wife's is fine mine was cold. She said I can go yell at kitchen I said no I just don't like cold food, and her response, came in a very condescending way, was I sure my food was cold or was it the tomatoes. At that point I told her just take the plate I am done. When the manager finally showed up she was very unhappy with me and very short. When we asked why her attitude. She responded saying her waitress was in back upset saying I had cursed at her. The manager was concerned for her employee, but my wife and I assured her I had never cursed and explained our experience from the start. From that point on the managers demeanor completely change and she apologized and was very professional. Before our conversation finished she acknowledged the hashbrowns were clearly burnt and should have never left the kitchen that way and she was truly sorry. With the exception of the manager who regrouped very nicely, the whole experience was terrible, and I would not recommend this...

Service: Our server Demaris was amazing. She shared how dishes are made from scratch include their sauces. She guided us with the menu, was super kind. and made sure we were taken care of (restaurant was full and busy). We come from Austin several times a year and are so pleased to have a place like this open up. They had all our favorites. They easily rivaled - and in many ways beat - our favorite places in Austin. Bennie with pork belly was delicious. Served on sourdough on a slice of ripe tomato, the poached eggs were cooked to perfection, the thick pork belly had a fantastic crisp. The hollandaise sauce was glossy and decadent and topped with crispy chopped bacon. We loved that it was served with a small side salad to lighten the meal - arugula, red/purple onion, sun dried tomatoes and a beautiful vinaigrette. If we had to state a con, the sourdough was a little challenging to cut through vs a traditional english muffin and we wanted more of the amazing salad. Rated 9/10. Strawberry pancakes were fluffy. If you like your pancakes with a little sweetness, you will love these. Only wish is that it came with more strawberries and whip cream - some for every bite. Rated 8/10. Shrimp and gouda grits. I get this dish almost every place it's available at my Austin faves. This version topped my favorite shrimp and grits at a fancy Austin restaurant. Grits were creamy and indulgent and the shrimp was grilled perfectly. Favorite dish at the table among the adults. Rated 10/10. Biscuits and gravy. While this dish may not have the same show stopper aesthetic on the plate, the biscuits were fluffy and layered and the gravy was chock full of sausage. This is not your typical diner biscuits and sausage, this is elevated and full of flavor. Keep in mind you can always order the gravy on the side. Rated 10/10. -Café a la Olla. I absolutely loved it. It was piping hot, and perfect for me with a little creamer. Really made the meal all the more special.
Hope this...

This place has AMAZING food, drinks, and service. We had such an awesome server on Monday, around 12:30. I can't remember her name, but if she happens to remember us please leave a name in the reply so people know who to ask for! She was so attentive and helpful, and described items with detail while giving us recommendations. LOVED IT! I had the Gone Bananas french toast, which is made with custard soaked banana bread and OH MY GOSH WHEN I SAY IT MELTS IN YOUR MOUTH.... yall... it was phenomenal. The fall bloody mary was different but amazing. She suggested the bloody mary flight so that we could try them all and it was such a great idea. I had a smores coffee cocktail which was PHENOMENAL. She informed me that it may be a bit strong due to feedback from a young customer before me, but that's music to my ears when I'm on vacation. It wasn't strong in a bad way, but instead it was perfect in the sense that you could actually taste the ingredients and alcohol and they all blended so perfectly. Plus it was topped with an actual s'more! The pricing was great, too! We actually were able to get what we wanted instead of settling for something else in order to save money. They blew it out of the water,...
