Great place to get bitten by a dog then have owner of dog talk crap while bar staff watched. Dude said your friend stepped on him its a service dog u cant do anything about it then wanted to go outside to settle the manor. We came in from sunshine out on patio walked straight to bar less than 10 ft. Tbe lights are the usual dim for a bar and dude has a 75 lbish black dog laying out in aisle and acts suprised when a hadicap guy trips over it. We werent even upset with tbe dog just the ahole owners attitude and lack of involvement from bar staff. Been going to Vernons over 20 years. Not going back. Love dogs maybe dude shouldve let dog lay down somewhere besides in front of door and not been such a prick. Patrons obviously knew the guy and let us know we were in wrong. Whats wrong with people. 30 min later spoke to owner over the phone. While applogizing he also said" other people walked around the dog" then went on to say "dog was tucked in between people not in the aisle" Advised my friend who has lost use of most left leg and walks with severe limp and is half blind and has a handicap to just go ahead n make a...

Always loved my experience at this longstanding establishment. Recently visited for holidays met up with friends and this is where we decided to go. The pitchers are worth the visit alone! It's a nice cozy southern barn bar atmosphere. The games are usually on the screens, there is pool table and shuffleboard, I think darts too.

I wish they would have their food always available, but I understand it is expensive to keep open during the day - all day till the late nite. But it sure was killer when you could have a beer and some nachos at 11pm or a breakfast taco the cook used to make for me specifically! ;)

I used to like this bar years ago, now the parking lot is full of panhandling bums 24/7, and the bbq joint has a p/t employee m-f that does misc chores, with chronic hepatitis C, like cutting/prepping veggies and cuts her fingers almost daily. Then she brings your food to with a high chance there's a dose of her hep c in it... I spoke to the new owner he said the bbq is contracted and he has no control over it. Then they called the police on me and banned me from their bar, a bar I'd NEVER go back to anway. I've called the county health dept they said there's nothing they can do... huh? I called ccpd they said call health dept, I don't understand no one can...
