This business used to have the best burgers, homemade onion rings, and okra in Corpus Christi until the owner decided to shrink all portions of fries, onion rings, fried okra, and burgers while simultaneously increasing the prices. Furthermore, if the customer chooses to pay with their credit/debit card, the customer is charged the fee that the card companies have always charged to the proprietor. That's simply the cost of doing business as a business owner and has always been passed along to the customer through the costs of the products offered and sold. In addition, he lowered the quality of the food by switching to frozen onion rings from an outsourced vendor rather than continuing to make homemade onion rings as advertised without notifying the customer of the lower quality option. The same quality deterioration goes with the okra that is extremely stringy and/or tough skinned like cardboard. Absolutely disgusting and the owner has lost me as a customer from his obvious greed for himself and lack of respect for his customers and lack of his customers' satisfaction. He is a typical corporate American proprietor in this day and age where results are all about investor profits at the expense of customer expectations. I suspect this business will be converting to lab created proteins as all corporations have gone with GMO produce and laboratory created meat products. Read moreThe food tastes fine, but it all tastes and looks like it was bought from a supermarket in the frozen section. The person that took my order was very nice and provided great service. I spoke with him again at the first window and he let me know that they were out of the jalapeño poppers that I ordered and I said they was fine and I asked for the Mac and cheese instead but unfortunately they didn’t have that either, so I got the onion rings. I was fine with that because I understand this is a small chain and they just opened up this location and this guy was super nice too.
The people that I spoke to at the second window were a very different story. So the guy was going through my order and I told him “you have those cheeseburgers with bacon too right?” because that’s how I had it ordered. He said “Company policy, we can’t touch food that’s already been made”. I could hear a lady in the back fuming about how they didn’t have the sides that I asked for and apparently now I wanted onion rings. They didn’t offer to refund me for not having bacon on my bacon cheeseburgers and I had to suggest myself that they should just put the bacon on the side. I ordered a chicken friend steak sandwich but I got a chicken burger. Our other burger was suppose to be dry but it was slathered with mustard. I also didn't get my okra that was suppose to come with my CFS sandwich. No 5.00 slice of apple pie. I went to the counter to get refunded the items we never got, the manager in charge, naturally was saying he knows they messed up, but can't refund anything, he can only issue brownies or cookies in exchange. I told him there's no way I'm going to get any additional food from this place just refund me what I didn't eat. He canceled the entire ticket then entered what I did eat, I had to pay 2x just to get a refund. The 2nd amount was lessor than the 1st charge. He said management throw t Him to the wolves.
