Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Corsicana

This experience was terrible. My husband and I decided to go out for a snack late Christmas night. We saw they were open and went for it. Immediately when you walk in there is loud, annoying music playing. Not your typical restaurant music either but dance music! It was really weird and unnecessary. It even had this one young kid crying because of the volume of the music. We order the Buffalo Boneless Wings appetizer and the wings were SO SMALL we literally had to recount a couple times that we had 10 of them. They were practically nuggets at that point. Oh not to mention that we were charged $10.99 for them!! We placed our entree orders and then decide to have it taken to go because we were annoyed by the music and the slow service. We just wanted to leave at that point. They packed our stuff to go. When we arrive home and open our food we see that they didn’t even try! I got the bourbon chicken and shrimp entree and the to go plate was barely half way full! That cost me $14.99 for nothing! My husband got a burger that was $12.99 and the burger was just a sorry excuse. It was sloppy and didn’t taste right. Note to self, we won’t be coming back. Stopped by to celebrate my 8 year olds birthday. It wasn’t busy when we arrived but we did notice the place looked messy and several tables hadn’t been cleaned yet. They sat us at a table that had food all over the chairs, thought okay we’ll just clean it ourselves so we did. Our waiter brought us some plates for our appetizer, they were all dirty. He apologized and went back for more plates, he brought back 4 and reassured us these were clean (they were not). At this point I felt really iffy about eating off any plates from that kitchen but I decided to stay. They brought my son his food and there was hair on his plate, I sent it back and they brought us a “new” batch of mozzarella sticks. I had ordered boneless wings and they brought me bone-in, by this point our waiter was held up by a large (15+) group of college kids & never came back. We decided to get up and try to pay with another staff, they knew that the order had been wrong because they saw my husband and I discussing the bill but didn’t offer any assistance. It’s very disappointing to have ended the night paying $75 for hair in the food & 8 dirty plates. Oh, and we never could get silverware...

Almost 7 pm on a Saturday night in Corsicana Texas. Just about every restaurant is packed. Applebee’s is not. Maybe 8 people in there eating. I understand why. Horrible service from the waitress. The lady who greeted us is the only reason I gave two stars. She was wonderful. I sat at table 34, the tablets battery was dead, the waitress spent more time on her phone than taking care of customers. Like I said. Horrible service. With the house being empty and only two tables to care for our waitress took almost 20 minutes to bring our drinks after ordering and take our food order. The food is okay... not the best. But better than sonic. It was prepared within a reasonable time then brought out by other servers. I saw our waitress 4 times during my event. The last was me looking around for 10 minutes. Empty drinks. Food finished. Waiting on a check. I seriously doubt I’ll ever bring my family back. Also beware of these 5 star reviews.
