Subject: Very Disappointed with Our Recent Dining Experience
Dear Il Fornaio,
I wanted to take a moment to share our recent experiences with your restaurants. Our first visit to your Carmel location was extremely disappointing — the food was truly awful, far below the standard we’ve come to expect from Il Fornaio. Following that visit, we received a $50 gift card by email as a gesture from Il Fornaio.
Because we’ve always had wonderful meals at your Roseville and San Jose locations, we decided to use the gift card at Il Fornaio in Roseville, confident we’d enjoy the great food and service we’ve always known. Unfortunately, tonight’s experience was just as disappointing as our visit to Carmel. The food quality and overall dining experience were simply not up to the level Il Fornaio is known for.
It genuinely saddens me to write this. We have always appreciated Il Fornaio for its consistency and excellence, which makes these recent experiences so disheartening. I call Kaiser Hospital and the nurse told me I should have crackers or go emergency after throwing all night. I start feeling dizzy and 911 Ambulance came and took me at the ER for over 5 hours. On Saturday, March 23, 2024, my family, and I visited Il Fornaio in Coronado, CA, only to be shocked by the terrible treatment we received. While we were trying to calm down our two-year kid the manager, LUCA, approach us displayed absolute arrogance by publicly shouting at us, ultimately forcing us to leave mid-meal due to intolerance and racism.
